Looking at meanings and derivations, Dr Heim shows “personality” is more musical than we may realize. We’re each born with music in us: temperament, and we learn to develop character. The personality is like a body, an enduring pattern, a structure, a vehicle to use while you drive through life, relating to others along the way.

The big challenges: winning and losing, failure and judgment, snakes and ladders. To decrease anxiety, Dr Heim encourages you to Be and Express yourself, Appreciate people, and Try. Try and learn: failure is only a slippery snake on the ladder of success. Trying, as Aladdin found, takes courage heartily linked to love.
