Over the past week, the indicators have pointed in different directions and worked against each other. All the business confidence indices have increased in the last month or two and so has the Agbiz/IDC agribusiness confidence index. It is still below the neutral 50-point mark, but improved by 10 points to 48 points in the third quarter. This episode is supported by the NWU Business School.

International events have a significant impact on our economy.
