Statistics South Africa released May's consumer price inflation figure yesterday. It was unchanged from April at 5.3% after economists expected a slight increase. Month-on-month, the index figure rose by 0.2%. The good news is that food prices continue to rise more slowly. This episode is supported by the NWU Business School.
