What, Like It’s Hard?

Spooky season continues as Sam and Heather dive back into one of the most chilling paranormal franchises. In a world where there are literal demons amok, why is it an ordinary man who lets us down the most?  If you missed our discussion last time, check out  Ep 136: Paranormal Activity

Sam and Heather are in the middle of this season's spooky line up so it's time for something spooky but silly- Heather's least favorite genre. Maybe it's time to stop torturing Heather? Probably not. Shout out to local queen Nina West in this film!

Sam and Heather- scratch that- Sam and Krista- wait nope- Sam and Zach discuss the next movie on this year's spooky season list. One of the most talked about movies of 2025. What are you more afraid of: getting what you wish for or being a woman?

Heather is back!!!! Through the power of time none of you were aware she had left but boy did Sam miss her. It's always a fun experience to record again after so long and while it's usually a mess (see Ep 83: Abigail) we are learning and growing and we almost kind of nailed it this time?

Courtney is back this week to wrap up a series that she and Sam started ages ago. Finally the last of the original X-Men trilogy movies, why did they drag their feet so long to finish this series? I think they get to the bottom of it in the episode. If you missed the first two movies give them a listen! Ep 99: X-Men Ep 120: X2: X-Men United

Sam is joined once again by her brother Andrew, this was a special birthday recording so Andrew got to pick the movie. His choice involves one of the Midwest's beloved cryptids, as long as you don't see him of course.

As summer comes to an end, Sam and Heather wrap up their Avengers series. The fact that Heather mostly watched 5 Avenger movies is worth celebrating on its own. Very few things end in a satisfying way- can the MCU pull off a satisfying conclusion to the Infinity Saga?  Catch up on the other Avenger episodes:  Ep 62: The Avengers  Ep 108: Avengers: Age of Ultron Ep 132: Captain America: Civil War ...

Sam is joined by Zach for another episode! Just like the last few times both of them are a little confused- will they ever just cover a normal run of the mill movie? Anyway, shout out to San Francisco.

Sam and Heather continue their journey in The Hunger Games. This story continues to be one of the most captivating and depressing experiences. We stand with the mockingjay.  If you missed our discussion on the first two movies: Ep 114: The Hunger Games Ep 147: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Sam and Heather dive back into the Final Destination franchise with the third installment. Planes and cars seem trivial compared to this next foreseen disaster- when death is after you no mode of transport is safe. Don't forget to listen to the other episodes in this series if you missed them!  Ep 110: Final Destination Ep 131: Final Destination 2

Sam and Heather learn the consequences of following the suggestions that Netflix throws at you. Sometimes it's a bop and sometimes it's a flop, but will these two agree? Are lakes becoming a category for this show?

Sam and Heather are celebrating summer with a cast of fantastic ladies, Tom Hanks and America's past time- baseball. Are you wondering if there's crying in baseball? The answer is no.

Sam is once again joined by the incredible Courtney and this time they are wrapping up their Wicked journey. Do they continue to gush about how much this story means to them? Yes. Is this episode longer than usual because of all the feelings they have to get out about this show? Yes. Will they apologize for either of these things? Absolutely not.

Sam and Heather laugh their way through a story about this crazy thing called love. Even if rom coms aren't your jam (hello Sam), this is peak Ryan Gosling with tip top abs so...something for everyone.

Sam and Heather discuss the film that was nominated for 16 Oscars, breaking the record for most nominated film of all time! Does it live up to the hype? Get ready for a journey filled with raw human emotion, meticulous historic representation and lots of vampire awesomeness.

Sam and Heather discuss one of the most talked about documentaries of last year- as you may have assumed, Heather had no idea about it. If you are looking for a story where the villain takes accountability for their actions, this one is not for you.

Sam and Heather discuss one of the most talked about films this year. Noone can deny the acting in this one is incredible. The ending to this one is wild and full of twists and turns- if you haven't seen it you may want to before you listen!

This week Sam is joined by Madison to discuss a movie that is dramione coded- if you know, you know. Even if you don't know this movie still has something for you, we can't say it enough: watch it for the dance scene!

Sam and Heather start a new series this week, a fun adventure series that is beloved by many, what could go wrong? Don't meet your heroes and don't expect much from your childhood cinematic crushes! Indy may be an asset to the museums of the world but he certainly has a lot to learn about how to treat a lady.

Sam and Heather love a good exorcist movie...but was this one? Through the power of google we learn what this movie could have been- is it better to have known the plot and watched this movie or is it better to have never known at all?

Hear us and rejoice! Sam and Heather continue their Avengers journey, we're getting so close to the end and Heather still has no idea what is going on. This time she didn't think that Black Panther was Catwoman so we are making progress.  Want to catch up on our other episodes in this series?  Ep 62: The Avengers Ep 108: Avengers: Age of Ultron Ep 132: Captain America: Civil War

Sam and Heather are doing their best this week. Sickness has led to posting a little late, Sam can't seem to nail down language in this episode and Heather is just along for the ride. The true con of this movie was putting beautiful famous people in the cast to get us to watch it.

Sam is joined once again by WLIH's #1 fan, Dave! Last time Dave picked the film (Ep 116: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) so this week Sam had him watch a film she thinks is vastly underrated. Prepare yourself for the cutthroat world of butter sculpting!
