THE YO YO EFFECT 17.02.2023

I was never very good at playing with a yo yo when I was a child. I couldn’t make it go up and down or do tricks as my friends could. Today it is the ups and downs of the weather that is often known as the yo yo effect. Life right now is also going through ups and downs for people. Support the show

WHAT IS THE LAW OF ATTRACTION 16.02.2023

I find the Law of Attraction fascinating with the concept that our thoughts are energy attracting to us what we focus on whether we want it or not. Recently I had a physical checkup and my wife was disappointed that more tests were not done. Thanks to an accident, I had all the tests I needed. Support the show

THOUGHTS ON A.I. 15.02.2023

There is a lot of interest lately in Artificial Intelligence and how it is going to impact our lives, but actually I am thinking of Akashic Intelligence housed in a library in the Cosmos. Here we have, through our mind’s computer, access to all the knowledge in every soul. Support the show

WHAT IF EVERY DAY WAS VALENTINE'S DAY 14.02.2023

I wonder what the world would be like if everyone celebrated each day as if it were Valentine's Day? That is, with the intention of looking at and experiencing life through a heart-based energy of gratitude and love. That is my intention. Support the show

IS THIS THE WAY WINTER IS GOING TO BE? 13.02.2023

This winter the weather has been crazy here in the mountains. We have already had at least two mud seasons as the temperatures have experienced highs and lows. At least we have stability within ourselves when we are guided by the Cosmos. Support the show

FOR THE RECORD 12.02.2023

Our lives often revolve around statistics and out of those facts become records for the most, the hottest, the coldest, the longest, or even the shortest. We constantly monitor facts to look for an indicator of when a record might be broken. We have records of our past lives in our soul. Support the show

TRENDING NOW 11.02.2023

I have tried to keep up with a lot of trends in my life from clothes to haircuts to foods. There are people that research future trends to stay ahead of the curve. There are trends in Nature like preserving green spaces. Inside of ourselves we have an intuition that guides us. Support the show

FINDING A REASON TO CELEBRATE EVERY DAY 10.02.2023

Since I have discovered the heart power in gratitude, I am more conscious of finding something to celebrate every day. It might be something to do with Nature or just feeling good about other peoples’ accomplishments. Support the show

DEALING WITH CLUSTERS 09.02.2023

The weather seems to be coming at us in clusters this winter. It is several storms in a row or several clear and warmer days in a row. The weather reminds me of life and how it seems as if there are times when nothing goes right and times when nothing goes wrong. Support the show

WHAT GIVES YOU JOY IN NATURE? 08.02.2023

As I looked out the window in the dead of winter, I paused for a moment and thought about the joy in all of this, with winter chores staring me in the face. Then I remembered the joy of watching a skier slide down the Mountain from out our back window. Support the show

NATURE AND THE EGO 07.02.2023

It is interesting how different people look at the same piece of land. Some are always looking for property they can develop and make a profit, while others consider the same property for wildlife and preservation. I think it depends on if we live life from the heart or the brain. Support the show

ICY LACE 06.02.2023

The brook goes through several different stages when freezing over. At one point Nature creates an icy lace, weaving together drops of water as they freeze. I am often reminded how there is something of beauty to be grateful for every day.   Support the show

NATURE IS KEEPING WATCH 05.02.2023

I looked out the window at the frozen brook, and there staring back at me was a face in the ice. I knew Nature was keeping watch over me, my family, and my house. My question is, "What messages are Nature sending to pass on to us?" Nice to believe we are not alone. Support the show

ALIVE AT FIVE 04.02.2023

It wasn’t just another sunset. It took place at 5 pm, another benchmark I look forward to as we continue through winter. Each day now I will watch the sun get higher in the sky as daylight continues to grow. It would be a long winter if I did not have a series of goals to reach.   Support the show

HUNKERING DOWN 03.02.2023

As we begin the trek through February, I find myself hunkered down with a hip not ready to enjoy nature hikes. My experiences come by looking out the windows, reading of others’ experiences, and short drives. At the same time, my mind is making plans for spring.   Support the show

GROUNDHOGS DAY 02.02.2023

Groundhogs Day means that we are now half way to spring. Only six weeks left. Each day I will celebrate a little more day light and a sun that is getting warmer and warmer as it climbs higher in the sky. Now is the time to dream of spring. Support the show

TURNING THE PAGE 01.02.2023

Finally we are turning the calendar page from January to February. It is a shorter month with much in it to celebrate, including Ground Hogs Day and Valentines Day. It is a wonderful time to turn the page on old negative habits as we focus on being halfway to spring. Support the show

A HAPPY TRACTOR 31.01.2023

I listened to the tractor purr as it sprang to life with my son in the driver’s seat. The frozen snow was cleared away in short time. I think of how long it would have taken to shovel it. It is possible to blend old fashioned integrity and new tools to help us find a productive path in life. Support the show

RETURN OF THE BIRDS 30.01.2023

Finally the birds have returned to our feeders after we removed them last summer when they became prey to a hungry bear. It took a few weeks for them to find their way back. Nature provides many different opportunities to enjoy and be grateful for winter. Support the show

A LOT TO BE GRATEFUL FOR IN LIFE 29.01.2023

My intention is to find something every day that I am grateful for, and when I had the opportunity to play a concert with gifted family members in front of a full positive audience, it was just part of my daily routine. It can be habit forming. Support the show

WAITING FOR A DRIVER 28.01.2023

I looked out the window and saw my tractor covered with snow, waiting for a driver to help clear it. As much as I wanted to be in that seat, I knew while my hip heals it was time to be grateful for others to step up. It is good to watch out for each other. Support the show

LOOKING AT THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN 27.01.2023

When I photograph Nature through my special round glass ball, I am seeing a world that is upside down. That is exactly the way many people are seeing and experiencing their world. Things have changed, but we have the ability to adjust. Support the show

LEVEL GROUND 26.01.2023

It is almost impossible to find level ground in Nature unless the spot has been manipulated by man. Even the slightest variation can throw my hip off. A lot of nature trails have board walks or graded paths. Life balance can be affected by how we respond to our daily experiences. Support the show

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST 25.01.2023

The beast arrived as predicted, spreading chaos throughout the state with deep snow and many power outages. A lot of work to cleanup is required and yet the beautiful alpine glow with the fresh snow somehow made it all worthwhile. Life has a lot of beauty along with its challenges. Support the show

CHANGING ROUTINES 24.01.2023

Most of the year we are able to carry out a fairly normal daily routine here in the foothills, but in the winter our routines usually change as we become mindful of snow conditions. We can easily get into a negative routine in life when we lose track of positivity and gratitude. Support the show
