LAST DAY OF SUMMER 31.08.2026

Tomorrow will usher in September and the first day of metrological fall. There is fall feeling in the air, and soon the leaves will begin to turn as we have now lost two and a half hours of daylight. It is time to turn our thoughts to preparing for the winter season as well as imagining new adventures. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

ACORN SEASON 30.08.2026

The green acorns growing in the oak trees are beginning to drop. On a metal roof it sounds like a gun shot. Soon the nearby ground will feel like walking on small rocks, and next spring there will be an abundance of tiny trees beginning to take root. It is time to harvest our summer intentions and apply them to this winter so that next spring positive steps for our soul can take shape. www.michael...

THE LITTLE SAW THAT COULD 29.08.2026

I was given a 10-inch battery operated chain saw for my birthday and recently gave it a try when I needed to cut down a 7-inch birch at the edge of the cemetery that had been heavily damaged in a snowstorm last winter. I was amazed at how well that little saw worked. I often find people have more abilities than they or others think they have. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

REARRANGING 28.08.2026

As you might note, I have been learning a lot of life lessons watching Lori prepare to put down a layer of wood chips on the walking path through the Ormond gardens at the Center. Recently she needed to rearrange some of the plants that were encroaching on the path. I was reminded of all the things I have rearranged in my life in the past few years and to find new positive ways to update them. www...

THE LEOPARD PLANT 27.08.2026

I made a new discovery the other day in the Ormond Gardens that I think was planted by Lori. It has medium-sized yellow flowers and large green leaves and goes by several different names. I am grateful however it got there, and I realize there is so much to learn from nature and from people. All I need to do is to pay attention and share my heart felt gratitude. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support t...

MINIATURE BEAUTY 26.08.2026

As I walked through the gardens admiring Lori’s recent handy work, I spotted a miniature purple cone flower, only a few inches tall. It probably is near where the mother plant dropped its seeds last year. I thought of the positive miniature acts of kindness people do every day that often go unnoticed. However, they can change the energy of a person’s day. www.michaelhathaway.com Support the show

CONTROLLING UNWANTED GROWTH 25.08.2026

The woodchips are being spread out over the landscape fabric to help control unwanted growth in the Center’s gardens. It also helps create a clear path for someone to wander amongst the flowers. I wonder how to control unwanted thoughts. For me, I know that my spiritual team is there to provide positive ones and trust in outcomes for the greater good. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

I DON'T KNOW A LOT OF THINGS 24.08.2026

There is an old saying, “The more you learn, the less you know.” I do not consider myself an expert on anything. Until I learned how I absorbed information, I spent my life trying to fool people into thinking I knew, but I knew I didn’t. In nature I just learned about wild carrots. I don’t know if they are safe to eat, so I won’t give them a try. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

CHANGES ARE TAKING PLACE 23.08.2026

With a little over a week until meteorological fall, I have noticed little changes taking place in the weather. The nights are a little cooler, the days are less hot, and the daylight ends earlier. Some people are so caught up in the stresses of life that they may not notice these changes until they find themselves in warmer clothes. Changes have many special moments that we don’t want to miss. ww...

A MIDDAY VISITOR 22.08.2026

A large male wild turkey wandered out of the woods and onto the lawn in the middle of the day, probably looking for some food in the recently cut grass. I think of our thoughts that can show up any time of day or night. I wonder where thoughts come from. Is it our ego or something sent to us from other dimensions that are always with us? www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

EYE CATCHING 21.08.2026

A bright little spec of shining object caught my eye, and upon investigating, I discovered a piece of mica reflecting the sun. I thought about eye catching moments in life that can often be missed when one passes by thinking of the past or future. The moments in life can bring us many insights. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

RE-APPROPRIATING 20.08.2026

Most of my life I have been setting aside parts and pieces to use in other projects. Some get used, and some don’t. Recently we hauled a couple small truckloads of sand and small rock left over at the house to repair the road to the orchard. We all have mental thoughts that we may be able to use in new ways for positive results. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

CHIPPING AWAY 18.08.2026

We now have a very large pile of wood chips at the Center that we plan to use in covering landscape fabric to keep the weeds down through the Ormond Gardens as well in other places on the property. It will take a process to get them all distributed. When we are overwhelmed in life, we can chip away at situations using our best intentions for the best results. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the...

FLAPPING ITS WINGS 18.08.2026

The tall stem growing out of the hens and chickens brought a smile to my face as I thought it was flapping its wings hoping to take flight. There are many people like this plant who never give themselves the opportunity to flap their wings and achieve what their heart’s desire. When one realizes that they have a team behind them ready to assist them in their positive intentions, amazing things hap...

HER SPIRIT LIVES ON 17.08.2026

A memory popped up on my computer from 2014 of our friend Lisa sitting on the old mill stone working with a client outside our house. After she passed almost two years ago, I decided to create a space at the Center where her sprit could live on. I think we all carry spirits of others who positively impressed us that we continue to share. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

GIANT MULLEINS 16.08.2026

Several giant mulleins grow on the edge of the Lupine Field. Their stalks, flowers gone, are filled with seeds and standing tall above the other plants. They are considered very medicinal by those who know how to use them. I do not, so I just appreciate them and, for me, Nature itself has a healing energy. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

PHOTOGRAPHING ORBS 15.08.2026

When I see orbs in photos, I often wonder if there is a mystical explanation for them. Some people believe it is energy from the place where it was taken; a spirit manifesting; or just dust on the camera lens. Each person has their own explanation for what they are seeing in the picture. It is all mystical to me. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

GRAY AFTERNOON WITH CLEAR SKIES 14.08.2026

We went up the mountain to get a better view of the 20% eclipse of the early afternoon, which we watched through our special glasses. The light didn’t actually change much; just a little darkness on a clear afternoon. I was reminded that we do not always recognize changes taking place around us unless we remain vigilant. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

A WORK IN PROGRESS 13.08.2026

Lori has made a lot of improvements to the Ormond Gardens at the center this year. It is still a work in progress with the next step to lay down some black paper and cover it with wood chips. Life is a daily work in progress as we learn more about being in tune with our soul’s purpose. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

DRAMA IN THE SKY 12.08.2026

This year has seen a lot of sky dramas in this country as well as a good part of the world. We have experienced hurricanes and blizzards and tornados, as well as smoke from out-of-control forest fires in the west and Canada. Our connection to our belief through our hearts can help find some peace through all the dramas in life. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

ONE OF MY FAVORITE LILIES 11.08.2026

One of my favorite lilies and one of the last to flower in August is the “resurrection lily”. I love its color, and when it comes into bloom, my heart overflows with gratitude for the beauty that nature provides. My goal is to channel that feeling into my daily routine and to share it with others throughout the day. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

THE SEASON OF THE PHLOX 10.08.2026

The tall common phlox is now in bloom, welcomed by those that are looking towards fall; a reminder to get prepared. I choose to see the beauty of the moment, the flower. Each moment does have beauty in it for those who focus on the positive. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

WHEN A COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER 09.08.2026

Many small towns in New Hampshire have a tradition called “Old Home Week “, established over a hundred years ago to encourage citizens who may have moved away to reconnect. Community connection is a positive way to maintain an old relationship or create a new one. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

LONG STALK PURPLE FLOWERS 08.08.2026

There are a couple of clumps of long stalk purple flowers, which I believe are called Anise Hyssop, making their presence known in the gardens at the Center. I love how all the varieties come together to create an inviting landscape for people and insects that gather their pollen. A life filled with varieties can help us grow in our soul’s garden. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

TIME FOR ANNUALS TO SHINE 07.08.2026

Lori planted three containers of annuals recently at the Center. As the perennial lilies begin to fade, these annuals should flower all the way through the fall and add bright spots of color to the landscape. Some people have a perennial view year after year, while others seem to change. It’s all a part of the garden of life. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show
