Dunks After Dusk

If not for a few new faces on the roster, you may have thought you were watching the Timberwolves of last season! The defense had their best outing of the season while the offense took care of business on the other end of the floor. 4-3 with some very winnable games over the next 10 days.

The Timberwolves win a nationally televised barn-burner against the Nuggets and then drop a raod b2b to the Spurs. Mitch and Pat were in attendance on Friday night and with voices recovering, they are here to break down both games.

Due to some technical issues while traveling, the game recap is posted a day late and down one member of the team. Just like last year's team, a 2-2 start to the season that has flashes of something really promising, and then lapses into sloppy play. Pat discusses why despite the loss, there is reason for optimism in the good that we are seeing.

The Minnesota Timberwolves coast to victory against an undermanmned Raptors team. Some very good basketball mixed with lapses of being fully aware of the caliber of opponent lead to a game that was between 10-20 points all night long. Previous version had some audio issues - hopefully those are all ironed out here!

The Timberwolves bounce back in game two of their season and beat the Sacramento Kings in their home opener. Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle led the way in a game that was marked by effort - a stark contrast to the season opner in LA.

Wolves back! ... Kind of. Mitch and Pat recap a messy game where the Timberwolves played without any sense of the identity that we saw in the preseason. They discuss what went wrong on opening night without pulling any alarms and panicing. 

Mitch and Pat wrap up their 2024-2025 season preview by taking a step back and looking at the Western Conference as a whole. Mitch and Pat are back for the last time to officially wrap-up season 1 of the podcast by talking about Anthony Edwards' Olympic debut and handing out Olympic Awards. Mitch and Pat attended game one of the Wolves/Mavs series and left feeling disappointed, but understanding for why the team lacked energy and didn't really look like themselves. The playoffs are long and with a loss in game 1, they may be setting themselves up once again for a long series. Expecting a bounce back performance in game 2!
