Line Drunk

I had the pleasure of being able to see this short film as part of the Poppy Jasper International Film Festival and it was one of my favorites. I cannot recommend it enough, you need to find a festival where it is showing and get a ticket to see it, it is that good. I laughed so hard at this short film and watched it 2 or 3 times. I reached out to Lili and she was kind enough to let me interview h...

This week I am joined by Roy van Eck, he played a monster in The Hex and is also a wine expert, he chose the 2009 film Watchmen. The film premise is in 1985 where former superheroes exist, the murder of a colleague sends active vigilante Rorschach into his own sprawling investigation, uncovering something that could completely change the course of history as we know it. It was my first time to see...

What would you do if you found your boss dead as a party was starting? This week we watched Weekend at Bernie's, hope you enjoy it as we chat about this iconic 80's comedy. My guests had actually never seen it before, if you haven't watched it before, I recommend checking it out first, you will need to rent or buy it, it isn't streaming on any service unfortunately. This film stars Andrew McCarthy...

I think we can all hear the theme song to Jaws anytime we think of the film and it also brings a bit of fear when its heard. Jaws is on the AFI Top 100 Films of all time and rightfully so, it is still holding up after almost 50 years later. It was directed by Steven Spielberg based on a novel by Peter Benchley, who co-wrote the screenplay with Carl Gottlieb. Listen to this weeks episode as Edward...

Special treat this week, I have Jeffrey Reddick, creator/writer of Final Destination, back along with writer and director of The Hex, Reine Swart, and Dusty. Final Destination is a great film that came out in 2000 and spawned 5 sequels and another one in the works. It's available to buy online or rent, feel free to check it out if you haven't yet seen any of the films. They are action packed and f...

I had the pleasure of interviewing Stephanie Barkley, she is funny, kind, talented, and beautiful on the inside and out. Be sure to check out her instagram (@stephbarkley) for some funny bits. Watch her as the lead in The Canyonlands as well as her upcoming short, Finding Big Foot, and The Boardinghouse Reach when it's wrapped up and released. I was given another opportunity to screen a film before it's release date and this week's episode is on the new film Hollow Point, which releases on April 9th starring Luke Goss, Dilan Jay, Jay Mohr, JuJu Chan Szeto, Bill Duke, Michael Paré, Roger Guenveur, and Natalie Burn. It's directed by Daniel Zirilli, who also was one of the writers, along with Chad Law and Evan Law. Remember two things:&nbs...

Well its here! You have all waited for this release for a long time and I hope everyone enjoyed the film. The previous two episodes led way for me to talk about Justice League and with it being 4 hours, Dusty got pretty drunk, and was still drunk the next morning. I think Zach Snyder did an incredible job on this film and hope to see the DC Universe continue. Please take time and check out asap.or...

Last week we talked about Man of Steel, this week we are discussing the next chapter in the DC Universe, Batman V Superman, which is releasing in 4k the same day as Zach Snyder's Justice League. Hopefully you all have HBOMax. So in this film fearing that the actions of Superman are left unchecked, Batman takes on the Man of Steel, while the world wrestles with what kind of a hero it really needs....

Man of Steel is directed by Zach Snyder and is about an alien child that is evacuated from his dying world and sent to Earth to live among humans. His peace is threatened, when other survivors of his home planet invade Earth. It stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent aka Superman and Amy Adams as Lois Lane along with Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Russell Crow, Christopher Meloni, Kevin Costner, and Laure...

I had honestly planned on taking a bit of a break to plan for season three and to get several episodes recorded, and I might end up taking a break after I release the first four episodes (which you will understand why as you see what the films are). My friends wanted to do an episode on M. Night Shyamalan's Signs. I'll be honest, this is my least favorite film of his that I have seen and I give de...

I had the opportunity to see an early screening of The Canyonlands, which releases in theatres on March 5th and on demand on March 9th. I was also able to interview Brendan Devane, he is the writer and director of this horror film and easy to interview. You might be wondering what this film is about and here is a brief description, after 5 people win a rafting trip down the Colorado in Utah, their...

So this week I was actually going to release a different episode but decided I would rather release this one, mainly because it was just released on Disney+ and fresh on everyone's mind and tvs.  This is a retelling of a classic fairytale produced by the one and only Whitney Houston, may she Rest In Peace. Along side Whitney Houston is Brandy Norwood, Victor Garber, Jason Alexander, Bernadette Pet...

I highly recommend this film if you haven't seen it yet, I actually really enjoyed it. While it takes place on Halloween 1968, it was released in 2019 and is directed by André Øvredal (The Autopsy of Jane Doe), based on the children's book series of the same name by Alvin Schwartz. The screenplay was adapted by Dan and Kevin Hageman (The Lego Movie), from a screen story by producer Guillermo del T...

This week's episode is all other the place, the guests ended up down so many rabbit holes and I did my best to edit this episode down and shaved off 35 minutes. Normally I leave everything in and don't edit so much, but this episode needed it and the stuff I took out really wasn't important to the podcast. Extra drinking game, drink every time anyone makes fun of Micah's name. Paranormal Activity...

This week I am sharing with you a watch-a-long episode on Saved By The Bell, normally I just post the watch-a-longs on my Patreon. I know I don't share a lot about it on the podcast but I will be. There's no pressure to join, but I wanted to at least have one (I was actually told that I should've started this when I launched my podcast) and have some different content on there. The watch-a-longs a...

This week we did one of my all-time favorite shows, Friends!!! I love this show, so well written, so funny, amazing cast, great jokes, very relatable, you know you can always relate to one of the friends. I relate to Chandler, he is my spirit animal, ha. Also, The One in Vegas was chosen and I grew up in Vegas, so there's that. I don't know about you, but this was a show I started watching in seas...

Unless you've been living under a rock, I'm sure that you've at least heard of The Hardy Boys. According to HardyBoys.us (The Hardy Boys Unofficial Home Page), in 1926, Edward Stratemeyer, founder of the Stratemeyer Syndicate, conceived the idea for the Hardy Boys. He created the plot outlines and then advertised for ghostwriters to complete the stories. Most notable among these writers is Leslie...

Welcome to 2021! This week I am joined once again by Reine Swart, the director and write of The Hex, which I hope you have rented by now and watched it. She chose the new Netflix film/musical The Prom, which neither one of us knew anything about. Reine is amazing and so easy to chat with, just a fun and welcoming woman in the film industry and I am so glad that I was able to connect with her. Of c...

This week we watched The Terminator starring Arnold Schwarzenegger (I totally had to look up how to spell his last name, probably not the only one), Linda Hamilton, and Michael Biehn directed and written by James Cameron. I had actually never seen this film until right before we recorded the episode and I actually thought Arnold was a good guy, boy was I wrong. Sorry for the spoiler, but it i...

This week's episode is a bit different, this episode is on an episode of Cold Case that Katie was in. We also talk about other projects she has done and all sorts of things. Hope you enjoy my conversation with Katie Chonacas. Katie Chonacas is a multi-disciplinary artist utilizing her voice to inspire change in people who want to make an impact.  Chonacas has been on over 1800 production sets...

This week's episode features the creator and writer of Final Destination, Jeffrey Reddick. He was wonderful to chat with and I can't wait to see what he continues to release in the future on the horror genre. He is just a good 'ol southern boy from Kentucky and has stayed that way while in Hollywood. We chatted about everything from Law and Order : SVU to A Nightmare on Elm Street and even project...

I had the wonderful opportunity to see an early screening of The Hex, it is available to rent tomorrow (December 15th) on Amazon Prime and iTunes, be sure to check out this wonderful horror film form South Africa. Yes, it is in English for those of you that don't want to read subtitles, ha, there's just a few. Enjoy the jump scare moments, and the interesting story that unfolds about a woman inves...
