Line Drunk

"I Know You Hookers Don't Think This Is Over With." I love White Chicks, it is easily in my top ten films. If you haven't watched it yet, where have you been? It is fantastic and so well written. Maybe one day I will have the honor and privilege of having on the Wayan's brothers. You can stream the film on HBOMax but you should just buy the DVD on Amazon or somewhere, it' one worth having.  S...

That's right, this week we are covering The Godfather, which won Best Picture, Best Actor in a Leading Role for Marlon Brando, and Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material from Another Medium at the Oscars. I am taking a Francis Ford Coppola class for school and when I got to this film I felt like this was one that needed to be covered. Coppola co-wrote the screenplay with Mario Puzo, who is the...

What are some of your favorite movie scores? How does the music make you feel? Does it bring back memories? How about emotion? Does it get you excited when you hear it? Does it make you think of good times of watching the film with family or friends? Test your knowledge this week with different movie scores. I got this idea from a short video I had to watch for class and thought it would be fun fo...

What is an urban legend? Well an urban legend is a genre of folklore comprising stories circulated as true, especially as having happened to a "friend of a friend" or family member, often with horrifying or humorous elements. Have you read some urban legends, or maybe heard about some in your home town? Which legend is your favorite? How about the one with the killer in the backseat or Bloody Mary...

If you haven't read the book Good Christian Bitches, or watched the sadly short lived ABC comedy GCB, do yourself a favor and read the book and watch the show. This is honestly one of my favorite shows that I have ever seen, its witty, its relatable, its well-written and has an amazing cast. I had the pleasure of interviewing Kim Harmon Gatlin, the author of Good Christian Bitches to which the sho...

It's just a bunch of hocus pocus...or is it? I think you have to be living under a rock if you've never seen this movie, I mean its a classic and especially during this time of year, it is playing on some channel or streaming service. How can you not love this film?!?! And finally Disney is making a sequel coming out in 2022 and you know so many people are excited and can't wait for it to be relea...

I hope you know the rules for trilogies, Randy does share them with us from beyond the grave in Scream 3, that's right, this week's episode is on Scream 3 starring Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, with Patrick Dempsey, Scott Foley, Jenny McCarthy, Emily Mortimer, Deon Richmond, Parker Posey, and Patrick Warburton joining them. So the rules for a trilogy are that you've got a killer wh...

Swimfan is the epitome of early 2000's suspense/thriller films and I love it! This was available on HBO Max when I recorded this and now you can watch it on Cinemax or rent or buy it from Amazon. The film stars Jesse Bradford and Erika Christensen with the plot of the movie being that a high school senior with a promising swimming career has a one-night stand with consequences. So let this film be...

Home Before Dark is a great family show available on Apple TV+, I discovered it this summer and quickly binged it and got caught up on the series. The show centers around Hilde Lisko, who is a journalist like her father, as the family moves to a lakeside town where her father once lived; while there, she unearths a cold case that everyone, including her father, tried to bury. It's inspired by real...

I am not Hispanic but I wanted to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with those that are. It is from September 15th through October 15th, it is to recognize the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States. Check out hispanicheritagemonth.gov for more information, the site even has a section for teachers with resources for them to...

Bueller...Bueller...Bueller...I love this film by John Hughes, but who doesn't. It has so many great lines, amazing adventures in Chicago, a perfect cast, and a great way to spend a day off. This film is available to stream on Netflix, Pluto, and Paramount+, as well as on Amazon to rent. I found the DVD at Target (they also had it solo on Blu-ray) in a pack of John Hughes films, 5 in total. I feel...

Slasher is a fun anthology horror series created by Aaron Martin. You can stream the first 3 seasons of the show on Netflix, but the current season, which is amazing, is streaming only on Shudder. Each season is centered on a masked killer with an unknown motive for killing their victims, so be sure to check them out. The current season is titled Flesh and Blood, it follows a wealthy but dysf...

If you haven't watched The Resident yet, you should. I started watching this show during Season 2 I believe, or right before Season 2 premiered, and it is fantastic. I love medical dramas that deal more with the patients than with the love interest between the doctors, no shade but not my type of show. The shows that I have loved in this genre have been The Night Shift, New Amsterdam, and The Resi...

Welcome to the season four premier!!! Have you missed me? For the season opener we discuss the classic Weekend at Bernie's II, which in my opinion is better than the original. I think most people think if Bernie walking/dancing to the music anyway when they think of him, if you haven't seen it, go check it out. Also, we talked about the first film back in season three, so go listen to it before th...

🎶You think I'm funny, you want to be a subscriber, you want to support me, you want to join patreon🎶  That's right, for the season 3 finale we are talking about Miss Congeniality. If you don't love this movie, something is definitely wrong with you and you don't deserve to find love like Gracie did. I will admit that I didn't see this in theatres and honestly I'm not sure why, because I was...

Are you so excited? I hope you are and that you aren't scared. This weeks episode is on the first two episodes of the new Saved by the Bell. Have you checked it out yet? It's only available on Peacock, but luckily they let you watch the first 3 episodes for free without having to sign up for the pay option. Don't say that there's no time, that there's never any time, because there's plenty of time...

This week we are throwing it back to a movie that just celebrated its 30th anniversary, the Ridley Scott film Thelma & Louise starring Geena Davis (Thelma) and Susan Sarandon (Louise). For those of you that haven't seen this classic, it's about two best friends that set out on an adventure, but it soon turns around to a terrifying escape from being hunted by the police, as these two girls esca...

With the pandemic happening, a lot of film festivals have transitioned to being online, which has been amazing for so many, myself included. I love participating in the festivals and have applied for a press pass for several different festivals and I always get excited when I get approved. I know I am a small podcast for the time being, but I also know that this will make it big and I love being a...

This week is on the cult classic The Boondock Saints, hopefully you have seen this movie by now, its been out for over 20 years. If you haven't seen it, the synopsis is... Tired of the crime overrunning the streets of Boston, Irish Catholic twin brothers Conner (Sean Patrick Flanery) and Murphy (Norman Reedus) are inspired by their faith to cleanse their hometown of evil with their own brand of ze...

This week we I discuss the Netflix and Zach Snyder film, Army of the Dead with my guests. This film is a zombie heist film set in Las Vegas and includes a zombie tiger, it's just a fun film that isn't meant to be taken seriously. So grab a cocktail, sit back, and enjoy it for what it is. It stars Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana de la Reguera, Theo Rossi, Matthias Schweighöfer...

"Oh my god, you've made the tower of Twinkie! Is that in a stalker's handbook somewhere?" That's right, this week we are discussing 2007's Disturbia starring Shia LaBeouf, David Morse, Carrie-Anne Moss, Sarah Roemer, and Arron Yoo. While I consider this a remake of the great Hitchcock classic, Rear Window, this is a favorite of mine. Christopher Landon and Carl Ellsworth wrote a fantastic screenpl...

This week is on New Girl, a show with actors I like but have never watched the series until now (I'm still in season 1). If you are like me and haven't seen it, the show is about Jess, who after a bad break-up ends up moving into a loft with three single men. Although the men find her behavior very unusual, they support her - most of the time. It stars Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield...

On this very special episode of Blossom, just kidding, this week is on the new Netflix show from Jamie Foxx, Dad Stop Embarrassing Me! The show is about a single dad and cosmetics owner figuring out fatherhood on the fly when his strong-minded teen daughter moves in with him. It stars Jamie Foxx, Kyla-Drew, Porscha Coleman, Jonathan Kite, David Alan Grier, and Valente Rodriguez. Ginger Beer M...

This week I am joined by Zack The Podcast Man (@the_podcast_man on Instagram), he is available for all of your podcast servicing needs. Being from Minnesota, he chose the film Fargo, which is a classic. It is from the Coen brothers from 1996 and stars William H. Macy, Frances McDormand, Steve Buscemi, Peter Stormare, Kristin Rudrüd, John Carroll Lynch and we can't forget Melissa Peterman as Hooker...

So this week is a little bit different, I threw this out as an idea and my guests loved the thought of answering movie and tv trivia. With this not being a regular episode, not really a drinking game available, but take a shot for every snort you hear. You can also take a drink for every question you get wrong. I own several movie and TV games and just pulled out random questions from them to ask,...
