הוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ אַחַר שִׁיר שֶׁל יוֹם אוֹמְרִים The passage beginning  Hoshieinu  is recited after the Psalm of the Day  (Shir shel Yom)   הֵן בְּחוֹל הֵן בְּשַׁבָּת, יוֹם טוֹב, רֹאשׁ הַשָּׁנָה וְיוֹם הַכִּפּוּרִים on weekdays, as well as on  Shabbos,  festivals, Rosh HaShanah, and Yom Kippur.

הָרַבָּנִים וּבַעֲלֵי תּוֹרָה נִקְרָאִים עֵינֵי הָעֵדָה The rabbis and the Torah scholars are called “the eyes of the community”  וְרָאשֵׁי אַלְפֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל and “the heads of the thousands of Israel.”  וּכְשֶׁהָרֹאשׁ הוּא בָּרִיא אַזַי גַּם הַגּוּף בָּרִיא When the head is healthy, the body is also healthy.
