small and simple: a daily verse

All throughout the scriptures we learn that prosperity comes with the Lord is with you. Genesis 39:2 is today's scripture and it talks about how Joseph of Egypt was a prosperous man because the Lord was with him. And we can be prosperous when the Lord is with us. I will see you tomorrow!

What an amazing gift it is to be created in the image of God. Genesis 1:26-27 is incredible. It is one of the first times we are told that we are created in God's likeness and image. The words of Christ teach people to do good. 2 Nephi 33:10 tell us to believe in Christ, because if we believe in Christ, then we will believe in his words. We will believe that the Book of Mormon is his words. We wil believe in the words of his prophets. The words of Christ always teach people to do good. Joy. It IS possible to feel it, even in the hardest of times. Joy doesn't have to increase only during the good times and decrease during the bad. We can feel joy, always. When we focus our lives on the Savior, joy ALWAYS follows.

Isaiah 53:3-5 briefly puts into detail the love Jesus Christ has for us. Though he was treated as the worst of the worst, the Savior, Jesus Christ, treated us like the best of the best, because that is how he sees us. He died so we can live. He felt our pains so we don't have to. With his stripes, we are healed. Jesus truly did die for you. Thank you for joining and I will see you tomorrow!

What a joy it is to boldly claim, "I will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15 is a powerful scripture. With you, I proclaim that I choose to serve the Lord. I will see you tomorrow!

Abraham 2:22-23 reminds us of who we are and where we came from. We are God's children, and he created us! He loves us and sees us as good. And because he sees us as good, we can be good! Before we came to earth, God walked among us. If God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, then he still walks among us today! God is good! I will see you tomorrow!

Not a day goes by in which we don't face some sort of trial. It could be a one time trial or it could be something we have been facing for years and years. But trials make miracles possible. We are commanded to do good. Today we round out our Armor of God mini-series by talking about Ephesians 6:18-19. It isn't enough to just have armor on. The reason the Lord has given us armor is because he knows that we will be in circumstances in which we will need it. The Lord has commanded us to keep our minds pure and also to share our testimony. Ephesians 6:17 talk about the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit. These two things finish up the Armor of God. Put together, the Armor of God is the protection the Lord has given us to stand tall today and always! I will see you tomorrow!

A shield is an essential part of armor and the Lord tell us that it is essential to the Armor of God. Ephesians 6:16 is the verse of the day. We are told to take the shield of faith above all. Faith in the Lord and in his doctrine and gospel is our greatest defense against the adversary and his attacks. God is preparing us and we must follow! God is good! I will see you all tomorrow!

Our feet is what we use to stand strong on the foundation of our lives, Jesus Christ and his gospel. Ephesians 6:15 teaches us to have our feet planted on the gospel of peace and to prepare.
