Today we read a quote that Elder Gary E. Stevenson shared in a talk called "The Greatest Easter Story Ever Told." It is a quote by N. T. Wright, a New Testament scholar. The events that happened 2000, the events we celebrate for Easter, is the great easter story ever told.

Two thousand years ago, our Savior performed the greatest event in human history. His miraculous and perfect atonement. The greatest of all, Jesus Christ, suffered so we don't have to. Jesus Christ tells us in Doctrine and Covenants 19:16-18, that if we repent, we don't have to suffer. That he has taken this suffering, ALL OF IT, upon himself! What an amazing God we have! I will see you all tomorrow!

Only Jesus Christ can satisfy the demands of justice. He, being perfect, atoned for our sins, meaning, he suffered the penalty for OUR sins which allows us to be reconciled to God. In Christ alone, we can be saved. I will see you all tomorrow.

This week, we will talk about the eternal sacrifice of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know one week is not close to enough about to cover all the aspects of it, in fact, a lifetime is not enough either, but I hope this week we can get a small glimpse of the magnitude of the greatest event in history. Part of the beauty of life (though it can be hard) is that tribulation and trials make us stronger. In Doctrine and Covenants 58:3-5 tells us that the good things that the Lord God will bless us with are things we can't even comprehend. My aunt shares one of her favorite verses with us today! It is found in 2 Nephi 4:20-21. Nephi shares with us that even amidst the trials and lows of life, God is our support. James 1:2-4 is a reminder to us that patience is perfect. Gaining patience comes by patience. Funny how that works, but the Lord allows us to have trials and tribulations so that we can trow our patience and in turn, become whole. Like Him. I will see you tomorrow!

Emer. Name ring a bell? If you said no, you are not alone. Emer appears in a few verse in Ether 9. Yet his brief story is something we can learn from. Ether 9:22 is today's and I know we will learn something together. God is aware of you! I will see you tomorrow!

Genesis 1 is full of amazing scriptures. It talks about the creation of Earth and the creation of mankind. When something was created, God says, "It is good."
