Once practical considerations are carefully weighed, we have freedom in Christ to make significant commitments and life choices. Ultimately, our focus, attention, and energy should be on serving the Lord in light of His imminent return. Therefore, we ought to simplify our lives and commitments to serve the Lord without distraction."

God has providentially placed each of us in our current situation. Therefore, faithfulness to Him isn't about seeking a more ideal position but about stewarding our present situation with godliness and contentment. Our calling to serve God can be fulfilled in any circumstance because our ultimate identity is found in Christ, not in our earthly status.

Marriage vows are sacred and must not be broken. However, when vows are broken the offended party is free from their vows. Ultimately, God's heart is for faithfulness, forgiveness, and reconciliation, so the peacemaking spirit of the gospel should reign in our hearts and homes.

Although our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, this does not mean that physical pleasure or marital union should be avoided. Christ has forgiven, cleansed, and united us to himself so that we may be freed to worship Him. Therefore, all our actions are constrained to serving God and edifying ourselves and others. Gratifying the appetites of the flesh and the desires of the heart is 'lawful' only to the degree that it serves this purpose.

Since we have the mind of Christ, even the least among us is better equipped to resolve disputes between believers than the wisest judge of this world. Yet, the real injustice lies in how we often care more about our own interests than the reputation of Christ and the well-being of our brothers and sisters in the faith.

God alone has all the information required for judgment, and it is to God alone that we are accountable. Further, it is God alone who produces anything praiseworthy in us. Therefore, we should not be critical or proud of ourselves or others. Embracing this truth fosters greater love, unity, and peace of mind, leading to greater service and glory to God.

Satan seeks to tempt us to division, rivalry, and false worship by offering us "ownership" of a fraction of what God has already given us. When we set our identity, worth and security in Christ alone, and rest in the hope of being co-heirs of all things with him, we will rest from the competitive scramble and pride of this world.

Every Christian has their role in building the church, and will be tested and rewarded for their faithful service. Yet all fruit is solely of God, so we are not in competition with one another to build our own reputation, but simply to be commended for being faithful with the small assignment given to us.

Those who have been given the mind of Christ must stop thinking selfishly, stop judging by the world's value system, and begin to see and live through Christ's eyes.

Without the Holy Spirit, you and I would only know foolishness. With the Holy Spirit we know all the deep, eternal, wonderful wisdom of God.

God placed us within his Son, apart from our own worthiness or action, so that within Jesus we would have everything we lacked for union with God and could then praise and enjoy him forever.

The shame of the cross is a winnowing fan to sift out those who rely on human pride and wisdom rather than humbly obeying the gospel. Let us carefully avoid adding anything to gospel ministry that detracts from the miracle of conversion.

Being saved by grace means that God has personally gifted us with a rich treasure of knowledge and ministry through our union with Jesus. By grace, God also personally maintains our life and growth in him so that all our future hope of standing unashamed with Jesus when his majesty is fully revealed is absolutely secure.

Our Lord loves to give His mercy to those who ask for it, for we live daily by His mercy and grace that our Lord has all ready provided. The writings of Hebrews 4:16 tells us "Let us come boldly to the the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."

As Christians, we are reminded that there will always be adversity. Jesus reminds of this in John Chapter 16:33, when he says, "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! All human rebellion will further God's desire to bless his favored people in Christ. Therefore look to no help or happiness outside of him.

Let us trust and enjoy God's absolute control over all creation because he is good and true. Rather than worry, let us joyfully worship and stand in awe of who God is and what he does.

We must resist the temptation to follow strong personalities and carefully pattern our lives after local believers who have earned a good reputation in Christ. We also would do well to listen to our spiritual shepherds when they call out Christian influencers to avoid and other voices to pay attention to.

We all have the opportunity to support the spread of the Kingdom, bring practical hope and healing to the lost, and personally minister to Jesus by opening our homes and our wallets to missionaries, brothers and sisters in Christ who are traveling or churchless, and the vulnerable spiritual sojourners of this world.  

The love of Jesus in us leads us to care first for other's spiritual health, but also necessarily for their overall well-being. Therefore it is the object of our prayer and generous effort.
