Sermons by Brandon Current
I am passionate about the role of the local church in God's kingdom. I love to care for my flock, from children to seniors, helping them grow in the grace of God, know his mercy deeply, and live lives of purity and in consistent demonstration of the fruit of the Spirit. I take pastoral ministry very seriously with the day of my account before God in mind at all times.

1 Corinthians 15:12–20a - The Gospel Stands or Falls on the Resurrection of Christ 18.05.2025 41:01
If there is no future bodily resurrection of believers in Jesus, then Christians remain condemned in sin, live in present misery, and have no hope beyond the grave. Without the resurrection, Christianity collapses into empty moralism. But Christ has indeed been raised, so our faith is grounded in truth and filled with substance. We have forgiveness of sins, comfort concerning those who have died i...
1 Corinthians 15:1-11 - Being Saved By Affirming Creeds 11.05.2025 51:15
We are saved by holding firmly to the gospel—the Good News that Christ died for our sins and rose on the third day, just as the Scriptures foretold and eyewitnesses confirmed—so long as we do not add to, subtract from, or distort the message that was originally received.
1 Corinthians 14:26-40 - God's Published Order of Service 04.05.2025 42:48
Worship gatherings should reflect the authority of God's Word and the character of God Himself—peaceful, orderly, and edifying. Every message, prayer, song or other spiritual offering must align with Scripture and serve the purpose of building up the church. Practical structure in worship is not a limitation of the Spirit but an honoring of God's design. All members should come prepared to build o...
1 Corinthians 14:1–25 - Speaking on Target in Church 27.04.2025 50:28
Everything said and done in the church gathering should aim to build up every member in Christ through clear and understandable communication. For this edification to happen we must have God's thoughts guiding our thoughts as we transmit those thoughts to each other. The gifts of the Holy Spirit facilitate this mental process. Today, this leads us to give priority to the ministry of the Word in th...
Psalm 16 - Written into the Father's Will 20.04.2025 29:30
Through Christ's death and resurrection, God has blessed his children with a rich inheritance of eternal life with him.
Psalm 24 - King of the Mountain 13.04.2025 37:14
God has made all things and all things belong to Him for His purposes. None have a right to approach such a God of power and holiness, except those who are holy themselves. However all people, being unclean, are cut off from God's presence, the very thing they were created for. So Christ descended into our uncleanness to sanctify a people for Himself. All who receive Him by faith become, together,...
Psalm 22 - A Desperate Victory Cry 06.04.2025 42:16
When Jesus cried out, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" from the cross, he was not only expressing his anguish but also quoting Scripture. In doing so, he proclaimed the purpose of his suffering and anchored himself in the promises of Psalm 22. This psalm reveals that Jesus took upon himself our sin and suffering to deliver us and to redeem a people from every nation to worship God and s...
1 Corinthians 13 - Who we are is greater than what we do 30.03.2025 46:03
The Corinthians' clamoring for influence and status revealed a heart of pride that was absent of love; true concern for one another. Love is God's nature, so without love, everything that impressed them was in fact empty and evil. When we view ourselves in relation to who we are in God and his love for us, our pride melts away and we are free to seek the good of others.
1 Corinthians 12:4–11, 28 - A Deeper Dive into God's Gifts 23.03.2025 46:11
The description of the kinds of gifts that God has given to his church, through the Holy Spirit, for the strengthening of his Body indicate what a healthy church looks like; grounded in truth, and joyfully flourishing in relational and situational peace and wholeness.
1 Corinthians 12:1–31 - What is your Superpower? 16.03.2025 44:15
Just as a body consists of many parts, each with a vital role, so God works through every believer He has placed in the local church, empowering them by His Spirit for the good of the whole. Each member should actively exercise their spiritual gift to fulfill their essential role in blessing and strengthening the Body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 11:1 - Who Around You Looks Like Jesus? 23.02.2025 23:07
The gospel of Jesus Christ loses its power in our witness if it is not backed by a life that reflects Him. We grow into Christlikeness by following the example of those who are already walking closely with Him.
Psalms 46:1-11 - The City of God, Where the Most High Dwells 09.02.2025 28:49
Regardless of what happens on this earth, It is in the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ. All who set their eyes, look by faith to Him, He shall gather at the river that flows from the throne of God. "Where God is in the midst of her, She shall not be moved."
1 Corinthians 10:1-13 - Camping in Sin and Missing Canaan 26.01.2025 47:40
Being part of a church family, receiving baptism, and regularly sharing in communion are not guarantees of eternal life. Most of the Israelites, though they were part of the covenant community, did not enter the Promised Land, but died under God's judgment because of their sins. Their example serves as a warning to us not to presume upon God's grace. Instead, we must learn to rely on God's strengt...
1 Corinthians 9:24-27 - Training and Straining for Heaven 19.01.2025 45:20
Every believer must live a focused life advancing the Kingdom of God. This means living a disciplined life, without exception, pursued all the way to the finish line. Such a lifestyle maximizes our fruit in Christ's name and prevents spiritual ruin.
1 Corinthians 9:19-23 - Loosing Self-Interest to Win Souls for Christ 12.01.2025 42:51
Followers of Christ are called to lay aside their rights, interests, and preferences whenever these might hinder the advancement of the gospel. Like Paul, we are to make ourselves servants to all, accommodating ourselves to others in everything that is not a moral issue. By identifying with others and meeting them where they are, we create the greatest opportunity to win them for Christ. In doing...
1 Corinthians 9:14-18 - Wanting to Do What You Have To Do 05.01.2025 34:14
Passage Summary: Paul lays aside his right to financial support from the Corinthians in order to demonstrate that though he is required by God to preach the gospel to them, he does it freely from the heart out of love for God and his listeners. Sermon Summary: There are many things the Lord Jesus requires of his followers. Chief among them is that everything we do comes freely, joyfully, and willi...
Deuteronomy 17:14–20 - Heirloom Faith 29.12.2024 36:07
Every believer is to know the Word of God thoroughly and to cultivate a habit of daily devotional time in the Bible so that they may remain close to the Lord and in his blessing and pass that blessing on to future generations.
Psalm 98 - Joy to the World The Savior Reigns! 22.12.2024 27:23
Psalm 98 gets at the heart of Christmas. It is a joyful call to worship the God who mercifully saves his people from their sins, renews his creation, extends his happy rule to every nation on earth, and makes every sad thing come untrue.
Psalm 72 - Forever Live David's Greater Son! 15.12.2024 43:21
David prays that God would pour out His justice and righteousness through his son Solomon's reign, and even more so through the future Messiah, whose kingdom will be eternal, global, and characterized by peace and prosperity for all. This psalm paints a picture of the Church's spiritual triumph over the world now and the perfect government of Jesus in the world to come.
Psalm 8 - A King to Rule a New Creation in the Praise of God 08.12.2024 43:49
The goal of all creation is the praise of God's glory. God made man the crown and steward of his creation in order to publish his greatness throughout the earth. Yet man seized that crown for his own glory and fell from his honored position. So the Son of God laid aside his glory and became one of us in our humiliated state in order to perfectly fulfill God's intended role for humanity and to shar...
Psalm 2 - A King to Conquer the Globe for Christmas 01.12.2024 42:13
God's solution to the raging of evil was to set up his own Son as King - to be a warrior to dash down pride and evil, and a fortress to those who love and shelter in him. In Him, judgment and mercy meet, calling all to bow in reverence and find safety in His reign.
1 Corinthians 9:1-15a - Free To Lay Aside My Rights For Others 24.11.2024 44:43
Paul provides a personal example of how love and concern for others lead him to willingly forgo his rights—specifically, the right to financial support from the Corinthian church. To use this example of self-denial effectively, Paul first establishes that he genuinely has this right. In doing so, he not only highlights his personal sacrifice but also firmly upholds the principle of compensating mi...
1 Corinthians 8 - Truth Without Love Is Ignorance 17.11.2024 40:56
God's truth must be applied to our actions through the filter of love. Even when something is not inherently sinful, it becomes forbidden to us if it causes a brother or sister in Christ to struggle in conscience or to be tempted toward actual sin.
