Discipline is medicine 21.12.2025 0:54
Discipline is the cure to most things in your life. If you don't agree, then try it out and prove me wrong. Little by little, a little becomes a lot. That's what discipline does for you. It builds over time and grows in the background. Before you even know it, you have a huge highlight reel to pull from. Keep showing up. You'll thank me later.
Future habits 20.12.2025 0:32
Your habits decide your future. If you're not where you want to be, audit your habits. They have brought you to your current situation. Change those and your life will follow.
Just say thank you! 19.12.2025 0:54
People have a hard time with compliments. They think it's humble to reject them. But that's just dismissing the other person's belief in you. Don't waste their positive energy because you're afraid of the spotlight. Just say thank you and accept their kind words. No need to reject or reciprocate in the moment. Just say thanks and move on.
Practice Makes Permanent 17.12.2025 1:47
Practice doesn't make perfect. And there's no perfect practice to make anything perfect, either. Instead, practice makes something permanent (well, at least until you decide to actively change it of course). Do the wrong things over and over again, and you will do just that in the heat of the moment. Be intentional with the things you want to get right when it matters most.
Impossible to believe 16.12.2025 0:59
Live your life in such a way that it's impossible to believe the misinformation spoken about you. What a great way to live. People will say what they want. Live in a manner that when people meet you, regardless of what they've heard about you, they can't believe the lies.
You're planted! 15.12.2025 0:17
It's not your funeral. It's your rebirth. Don't give up. Get nourished and grow. You're about to sprout, baby!
Not a competitor? 14.12.2025 1:39
I used to not think this way. I was a HORRIBLE loser. I used to think people who weren't upset after a loss were not competitive. That mindset also destroyed my love of competition, especially with all my health issues. Then I went to work on my mental game. Now I realize how lucky I am to be able to compete in the first place. I realize now that to truly love the game (fill in the blank of whatev...
2 Daily Questions 13.12.2025 0:59
Ask yourself these every day. Did you waste yesterday? How would I feel if I wasted today? This is how you hold yourself accountable. Coaches, mentors, family, and friends can help you identify your blind spots and weaknesses. You need to be the one that cares about yourself more than they do, though. That's accountability.
Real doesn't make it valid 12.12.2025 1:25
Real to you and accuracy of interpretation isn't the same. People hear these psychology terms and just throw them out expecting people to bend to their will. Nah. I'm good. Learn definitions and learn to think critically. I don't need to validate your feelings. Your feelings are your responsibility. If you feel a certain way, we can discuss the situation and determine if the interpretation was cor...
Opinion vs Truth 11.12.2025 1:45
Are you being led by your opinion, or are you seeking the truth regardless of your opinion? Most people form opinions based on their own beliefs (the same ones they've never questioned how they came to by the way...) or perceptions and refuse to see or hear the truth if it differs. That's backward. We should seek the truth and update our opinions based on that instead of fixing the "truth" to matc...
Are you a fool? 10.12.2025 1:48
This can be good advice or bad advice. That depends on which side of the conversation you are on. If you are to teach or speak on things you don't know about, it's better to be silent. If you are being taught or are attempting to learn, it's foolish to not ask questions. Understand the difference and you will go far.
Be bad to do good? 09.12.2025 1:24
A little Stoic philosophy tonight. Things like this make you think in different ways. They make you dig deep and have you discuss ways to interpret different meanings. What I get from this is to be good it must be an active process. You first have to recognize your ability to do bad, or do harm, then actively choose to do good. This ensures you are doing deeds with purpose and intention of doing t...
Everything works out... 08.12.2025 1:26
Resilience is a skill, not a trait. You build the capacity to keep moving forward by learning how to move past that initial emotional response. Do I get irritated at myself for messing up on these projects? Absolutely. But I also know it doesn't define me as a person. My responses to things going right or wrong, however, can define me as a person.
Keep moving forward 07.12.2025 1:34
Keep moving forward and things will work out. I know, they won't always work out as good as this one did, but either way, you'll still be further along than if you stop to whine about it 🤷♂️ Moving forward looks different at times, too. Sometimes that means going back to the planning phase to reevaluate design, measurements, goals, etc. Other times it might be to move on from something completel...
Emotions aren't bad 06.12.2025 1:28
We need to stop saying that any emotion is bad or good. It's meant to help you stay alive. You're either adding a meaning to it based on historical teaching or not learning the lesson it's there to teach you. I'm not saying having certain ones too often isn't a problem. Just that each emotion has its place in our lives. When we realize this and stop fighting certain things, we can move through thi...
Information overload? 05.12.2025 1:57
With the right strategies, you can avoid information overload. If you're in a training situation, then communicate better. Stop trying to act like you're the smartest person there, and you understand everything perfectly the first time. Ask questions and admit that you don't fully understand the way they explain things. Get clarity on things. Not understanding doesn't make you an idiot. Pretending...
Fall to your standards 04.12.2025 1:41
People don't rise to the occasion. They sink to their standards and training. I've seen so many "tough" people fall apart at the slightest sign of something not going as planned. And even more people freeze as soon as there's a medical emergency. You don't need to train for every scenario, though. You just need to put yourself in difficult situations where you need to make decisions or regulate yo...
It's the little things 03.12.2025 1:11
Life is about the little things. If you can't be happy in those little moments, the big things will never be enough.
Your brain creates its reality 02.12.2025 1:47
Your brain will create the reality it wants, or at least the one you tell it to believe. This can work for both good and bad results. If you tell yourself you're hurt, sad, mad, depressed, etc., you will end up feeling that way more often than not. If you tell yourself you're not hurt, happy, grateful, etc., then more often than not, you will be those things. No, this isn't a miracle cure saying i...
They are YOUR emotions... 01.12.2025 0:59
Your emotions are your problem. Only you can control them. Only you can make yourself angry, pissed, sad, happy, etc. You have to choose those. Just because the emotion comes up during an interaction with someone doesn't mean they caused it. It's still your choice. Hope that helps.
The more you learn, the less you know... 30.11.2025 1:00
The more you learn, the less you know. I realize this more and more each day. The thing is, there are very few things that are truly universal. That's why real experts say I'm not sure or it depends a lot. That's because there's nuance to basically everything. Hope that helps!
Change your perspective 29.11.2025 1:32
Change how you look at things, and those things change. You'll find what you are looking for either way, so you might as well look for what's good or neutral so you can solve problems and learn. The alternative is being sad and acting like a victim all the time. Not my thing. If it's your thing, please stay out of my life unless you're asking for help to change that...
Enjoy those "annoying" moments 28.11.2025 1:59
This story was brought on by my thoughts with my cat today, but the reality is it reminded me of many people I haven't made the time to see enough of in my life. During that time cleaning my dad's house out, I got to spend a lot of time with my uncle, my aunt, and my mom and her husband. People I haven't seen much of in the decade for various reasons. It was nice to have that time with them and no...
Knowledge vs Skill 27.11.2025 1:31
You can't learn to swim by reading about water. This is true, but is only part of the conversation. Learning about water might help build a knowledge base which can then be applied to the skill of swimming. But the larger meaning I spun this into is you can learn about a craft to teach, be taught to do the craft, or both. Some can teach it but not do it. Some can do it but not teach it. Others can...
Emotions and behaviors 26.11.2025 1:35
Every emotion is okay to have. Every behavior is not. I love that explanation. Look, acting out and showing all your emotions isn't emotional intelligence. Having control over your behaviors in spite of your emotions is. If you're capable of having the emotion, there's good that can come from it, some innate survival mechanism your body has dialed up. That doesn't mean act it out and make everyone...
