Most of the Northland will look to start the weekend on a mild note, with a few showers still exiting the North Shore Friday evening. By Saturday though, rain pushes out entirely into Wisconsin, while the rest of the region looks to stay dry, aside from a chance of a few isolates showers across western North Dakota.

As the previous system continues to push off to the east, we look largely dry under high pressure across most of the region on Saturday. Skies look to be partly to mostly sunny as well, with sunshine more likely the further north you are. Highs reach the 70s across the Northland. Sunday looks pleasant as well with some precipation chances across South Dakota.

As we go into the first weekend of May, we see a return fo the warm spring temperatures by Sunday. The last of the late week rain showers move out Friday night and early Saturday morning. Any remianing showers in eastern Minnesota and sprinkles in the Red River Valley will clear out by the afternoon.

Saturday will have rain showers and even a rumble of thunder possible throughout the day. Winds will also get breezy at times thanks to the low pressure system moving through the region.

This weekend brings back the sunshine for a majority of the region, and temperatures will warm up in response. Friday evening will still be cloudy with areas in northern Minnesota and the Red River Valley seeing occasional snow flurries. These clear on out as we head into a sunny Saturday afternoon. Sunday will also see a big jump in temperatures with 50s and 60s making a return.
