CHANGE HAPPENS EVERY DAY 14.09.2025

I can see the changes in the leaves taking place every day as Fall takes over the landscape in the mountains. Soon they will be ablaze in color. Change takes place every day year-round when we pay attention to it, especially with heart-based gratitude and anticipation of constant little miracles. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

A LITTLE MORE COLOR FOR SEPTEMBER 13.09.2025

One of my favorite September perennials are the phlox. Despite the lack of rain, they seem to still be able to bloom. I am grateful for life’s color. Some people live in a colorless world, focused on worry and stress, with nothing to be grateful in their hearts. If they would change their focus, they could find it. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

SUCCULENT SEASON 12.09.2025

The beginning of fall marks the beginning of the succulent season. These waxy leaved plants produce small flowers that will stay in bloom until frost. I know people who quietly exist unnoticed until something positive they do brings them to the attention of others. Then they return to their non-flashy but meaningful life. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

DOWSING FOR WATER 11.09.2025

Recently a small group of women went up to the Cabin to dowse for water using pendulums, a bobber, Y rods and L rods. Actually, your fingers can also feel that energy. They all came to a conclusion as to where a spring was located. Dowsing is an ancient art that people can use in other decision making.   www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

FLAVORING UP THE GARDEN 10.09.2025

FLAVORING UP THE GARDEN. Most of the lilies in the Ormond Gardens have stopped flowering, but I see that the chives are still in bloom. Chives are also used to add flavor. Life has many flavors that can be experienced through all senses. I think of the warmth of my heart like the warmth of warm biscuits. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

A MISTY MORNING 09.09.2025

I stood at the top of the Lupine Field after the rain had ended. The clouds still covered the mountain tops, and my heart was filled with peaceful filled gratitude. I believe, regardless of the weather, that we always have room in our hearts to find peace and gratitude. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

TAKING LIFE FOR GRANTED 08.09.2025

We often take things in life for granted, like a summer with sun and rain. This year we are experiencing a drought, and I am grateful for recent rain. There are many things we take for granted that we should pay more attention to. Gratitude in the now may help one stay in touch. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

LIGHT PLAY 07.09.2025

As the daylight diminishes a little each day, it creates some beautiful scenes in nature like brown ferns and birch trees. So much happens in each moment that it is hard to take it all in. Our minds are often so full of thoughts that we can pass by the beauty of life, both in nature and in people. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

AN APPLE A TREE 06.09.2025

This year the cool weather in the spring caused the bees to become active after the flowers on the apple tree had passed the time for pollination. Consequently, instead of an “apple a day” the tune in my head is “An Apple a Tree”. Sometimes what we take for granted in life changes. That is the time to get creative. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

FINDING A PLACE OF PEACE AND QUIET 05.09.2025

I am very grateful that I have a place where I can go away from the world for a little peace and quiet. I might be there for a minute or an hour. It is a place where I can connect with the invisible team that guides me on my Soul’s path. We all have a place like that even if it is just in our mind. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

CRUNCH TIME 04.09.2025

The summer dry spell has caused a lot of leaves to dry out and on my walk to the Lupine Field every step I take crunches. For many people “crunch time” means an action is needed to move forward. That is the time to reach into our hearts to move forward with positive intentions for the greater good. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

FEELING CRABBY 03.09.2025

A year ago, the Ormond Gardens at the Center received the donation of a small crab apple tree. It blossomed this spring, and now we have some small crab apples maturing. This act of kindness was an investment that will pay joyful dividends in the future, as can other acts of kindness, wherever you are. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

WILD CARROTS ARE READY 02.09.2025

Queen Anne’s Lace is also known as wild carrots because their roots and flowers have a taste like domestic carrots. That said, I have never tried them and do not recommend them. For me they provide a feast for my eyes and my heart. There are many positive acts of kindness that can fuel my heart. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

SEASON OF CHANGE 01.09.2025

Fall is definitely in the air as we enter September. It is a season of change: foliage; shortening daylight; lowering temperatures; and thinking towards the seasons ahead. It is wise to approach our personal changes with positive loving perspective intending for the greater good. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

THE LAST RAYS OF SUMMER 31.08.2025

As the last rays of meteorological summer fade away, the weather is showing hints of fall. It is a time to review the accomplishments of the summer as we establish our fall and winter goals which keep us on path of our Soul’s purpose. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

THOUGHTS ON LOVE 30.08.2025

There is a simple sign in the middle of the Orchard that says “love”. It is a place where people love to walk and often pause to meditate. Someone laid a pet to rest there a few years ago. It was a place they loved to visit. This sign inspires people to think about different meanings of love. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

IT WAS A HAIL OF A DAY 29.08.2025

The day started out expecting another drought plagued August, when about noon the sky opened up and we experienced a deluge of rain and pea-sized hail. It was, in this case, a delightful surprise. When days go in a negative direction, at least, we have our heartfelt connection to help guide us. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

MATURING NICELY 28.08.2025

The milkweed seed pods growing in the Orchard are maturing nicely. The butterflies enjoyed their blossoms, and soon the seeds for next year will be scattered about. As people age, their youthful thoughts can mature nicely, especially when they are filtered through their heart’s love. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

STAKE OUT 27.08.2025

I recently staked out the place where I plan to create a special memorial seating area behind the Center. The planning has been going on in my mind for several months and now the stakes are set to guide me where to build the base. Life planning often goes through several steps before we set the stakes for the intended results. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

THERE'S A HOLE IN THE WOODS 26.08.2025

Leaving the Orchard, there appears to be a hole in the woods. It is actually a section of trail that is shaded by pine trees. My mind automatically starts to enter the hole as it reaches out to connect with my Source waiting for me in the vast Cosmos beyond. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

THINKING AHEAD 25.08.2025

I often tell people I am always done and never finished. I like to think ahead on potential goals for the land such as creating new hiking trails, as well as personal goals for myself. Many of these future goals may change with time. Thinking is the first step in creating future realities www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

PREVIEW OF DAYS TO COME 24.08.2025

All of a sudden, the weather felt like fall, even though summer is not over yet. The days are getting shorter and the evenings cooler. Summer will be back for a short time. In life we like to preview what will take place in our minds before we get there. I like to think of my goals as future flexible concepts. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

A BIG PRESENCE 23.08.2025

The common tansy, also known as golden buttons, is new to the garden this year and has grown to be over six feet tall. It is a big presence, and one would expect it would have big flowers, but they are very small. I think of people that think they are important and have a big ego presence that doesn’t have a lot to offer behind it. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

RESURRECTING THE RESURRECTION LILY 22.08.2025

The last lily to bloom at the Center is often called the resurrection lily. For several years it bloomed outside of the garden and was transplanted more recently in a different place. They can be finicky, and I just discovered two of them in bloom. We resurrect a lot of things in life. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show

ANGEL WINGS 21.08.2025

I like to watch cloud formations, and as I looked up I saw a set of angel wings covering the sky with a definite portal in the middle. This was proof to me that I do not walk this earth alone and I know that each of us has the same connection to those wings. www.michaelhathaway.com/message-from-the-mountain Support the show
