Nehemiah 8&9, Hebrews 13 This is a longer podcast episode but worth every second. Last chapter of Hebrews is so powerful and encouraging. Nehemiah 9 is a MUST read!! It is a summary of all that has happened up to that point with the acknowledgment that God was good and gracious all the way through

Nehemiah 7, Hebrews 12 Hebrews 12 is such a beautiful chapter of encouragement. Nehemiah 7 is a list of family names and a record of what they lost when exiled.

Nehemiah 5&6, Hebrews 11 Hebrews 11 is a deep dive about faith. Nehemiah 5 shows Nehemiah’s awesome leadership. Nehemiah 6 shows Nehemiah’s wisdom against opposition.

Nehemiah 3&4, Hebrews 10 If you want to grow in your faith and wisdom read Hebrews line by line and allow it to speak to your soul. Nehemiah 3 was not too eventful with the building the gates of the wall. Nehemiah 4 has a rich lesson of how to deal with opposition that comes when you are trying to do something good.

Nehemiah 1&2, Hebrews 9 Nehemiah was heart broken from the people in Jerusalem and he interceded in prayer for them. Hebrews 9 explains in detail why we do communion.

Ezra 9&10, Hebrews 8 Ezra 9&10 demonstrates Ezra’s anguish over the sins of the Israelites. When you read it you feel his desperate cry. Hebrews 8 shares Gods new covenant with His people.

Ezra 7&8, Hebrews 7 Hebrews can be such a brain twister that you either read it and be left puzzled or dig deep and get profound revelations. Hebrews 7 explains how Jesus is the higher priest. Ezra 7& 8 describes who Ezra was and his journey back to Jerusalem.

Ezra 5-6, Hebrews 6 Hebrews in my opinion is a sophisticated read and will mature your faith as you wrestle with some passages. Ezra 5-6 is story of king Darius telling the Israelites to finish their temple.

Ezra 3-4, Hebrews 5 Hebrews 5 explains how Jesus is the priest and the only way to God. Ezra 3-4 is story of Israelites trying to reestablish religious traditions and rebuild the temple. Unfortunately there was opposition along the way.

Ezra 1-2, Hebrews 4 Hebrews 4 talks about the importance of following Jesus so you can experience rest in this life and after. Ezra 1-2 shows that story of king Cyrus setting the Israelites free to go back to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple.

2 Chronicles 35&36, Hebrews 3 Last 2 chapters of 2 Chronicles is the climactic ending to the story as the people of Jerusalem are exiled to Babylon until God uses king Cyrus to set them free. Hebrews 3 is a gentle warning not to let your hearts be hardened like people freed from Egypt.

2 Chronicles 33-34, Hebrews 2 Hebrews 2 describes in the sweetest way how Jesus came to save his people. 2 chronicles 33 is story of king Manasseh who was a really bad king until he was captured and then repented. From my perspective I would not have believed his repentance,but clearly God sees the heart. 2 Chronicles 34 brings Josiah onto the scene who was a really good king.

2 Chronicles 31&32, Hebrews 1 Please please please read both of these passages today because they are so powerful. King Hezekiah drops some powerful truth bombs in 2 Chronicles 31&32. If anyone questions who Jesus is and read Hebrews 1.

2 Chronicles 29&30, Philemon The theme of todays reading is forgiveness. Beautiful illustration of repentance and forgiveness in 2 Chronicles 29&30. Letter from Paul to Philemon for forgiveness in book of Philemon.

2 Chronicles 28, Titus 3 Titus 3 is another passage worth meditating on because it will transform your life. 2 Chronicles 28 introduces king Ahaz who is a very bad king.

2 Chronicles 27, Titus 2 Titus 2 is a short chapter that will transform your life if you meditate on the message. It’s a good one!! 2 Chronicles 27 is a short chapter that introduces king Jotham who did good in the eyes of the Lord all the days of his life.

2 Chronicles 25&26, Titus 1 When you read stories of old think about how it applies to your own life because you are the “king” of your own mind and life. Can you see yourself in the lives and attitudes of kings? Titus talks about elders and overseers. You are the overseer of your own mind and life. When you read Titus 1 think about how it applies to your life.

2 Chronicles 23&24, 2 Timothy 4 Paul the apostle is giving his last words to Timothy. Read verses 2-4 over and over to make sure you know how to discern truth. The stories of the kings seem so frustrating. King Joash started as good guy then turned bad after the priest Jehoiada died.

2 Chronicles 21&22, 2 Timothy 3 This was such a good one!!! We could spend a months unpacking 2 Timothy 3. All I can say is go read and listen to the podcast episode and see how powerful it is. 2 Chronicles 21&22 is like an exciting movie.

2 Chronicles 19&20, 2 Timothy 2 If you read the Bible daily it will speak to your spirit in ways that are hard to describe. 2 Chronicles 19&20 are seemingly simple stories of war but there are hidden messages that can change your life. Paul is encouraging Timothy to prepare the people to avoid conflicts and godless chatter that is designed to lead them away from God.

2 Chronicles 15&16, 1 Timothy 6 Paul is in prison and he know that he is going to die in Rome. He sends Timothy another letter to encourage him to fight the good fight for the Gospel. 2 Chronicles 15&16 king Jehoshaphat was a good guy and did good in the eyes of the Lord.

2 Chronicles 15&16, 1 Timothy 6 Last chapter of 1 Timothy Paul teaches to beware of letting money cloud your heart. 2 Chronicles 15 king Asa did good in the eyes of the Lord. In chapter 16 it shows how when times were good king Asa got complacent and made decisions without seeking God.

2 Chronicles 13&14 , 1 Timothy 5 Paul explains how to care for elderly and widows in chapter 5 of 1 Timothy. King Abijah of Judah and then king Asa after him were good guys!! God showed up on their behalf.

2 Chronicles 11&12, 1 Timothy 4 Paul illustrates how our choices influence others. 2 Chronicles 11 & 12 Rehoboam son of Solomon fled to Jerusalem and fortified all the cities of Judah in event Jeroboam attacks

2 Chronicles 9&10, 1 Timothy 3 Paul describes how to be a person of good character worthy of being a leader to people. 2 Chronicles 9 summarizes all the riches of king Solomon. Chapter 10 king Solomon’s son Rehoboam was a tyrant and the people revolted.
