Job 37-38, Revelations 4 John describes what he saw at the throne of God - such a profound and beautiful sight. Job 37 is Elihu speaking his last words of how awesome God is. Job 38 is God himself speaking to Job in a storm.

Job 35-36, Revelations 3 Revelations 3 Jesus sends a message to the final 3 churches of the seven churches. Job 35&36 is Elihu giving his perspective on Job’s situation.

Job 33-34, Revelations 2 Revelations 2 is words to 4 of the seven churches. Read it aloud and be blessed. Job 31-32 Elihu speaks words of wisdom in my opinion. Read it and decide for yourself.

Job 31-32, Revelations 1 Yes!!! Let’s do it!! We are reading the Revelations. Chapter one sets the stage for the entire book of Revelations. Maintain a spirit of curiosity and openness and you will experience many “revelations”. Job is justifying his actions in chapter 31. Chapter 32 his youngest friend finally asks to say his two cents.

Job 29-30, Jude Jude half brother of Jesus speaks to the people of the faith to war against using God’s Grace as a free pass to sin. Job 29-30 is Job continuing to express his anguish as he remembers the good times before. I also discuss perception vs perspective in this episode.

Job 26-28, 3 John It is amazing to travel with Job as he processes and wrestles with hard questions with God. John talks to the people about not imitating evil.

Job 23-25, 2 John John writes a short letter in 2 John that can be read in one sitting. Hohn explains how to distinguish false teachings. Job seems to be getting weary in chapter 23-24 and finally says I don’t know why bad things happen to good people but God is still in control.

Job 21-22, 1 John 5 Both of these passages are deep and require a lot of contemplation. John talks about Jesus as the protector and savior of the world. So many powerful messages in 1 John 5. Job is an eloquent speaker and certainly triggers his friends with his words. Read Job and see how it speaks to you where you are at in your life.

Job 19-20, 1 John 4 John speaks so thoroughly about love and how God is love. God loved us first and sent his son to save the world. Job also references how God is the redeemer of the world after his long venting of his suffering. Job’s friends want to comfort him but after they hear Job blame God and talk bad about himself and them they speak up. The words they say are from their perspective, emo...

Job 17-18, 1 John 3 John talks about the great command to love Jesus and love people. Job is suffering and his friends are doing a poor job consoling him.

Job15-16, 1 John2 John is reminding people who they are in Christ and how their sins are forgiven because of him. Job is speaks out against his friends encouragement but recognizes why they speak the way they do. He seems to shift at end of chapter 16 to cry out to God for comfort.

Job 13-14, 1 John 1 Apostle John is sending a letter to encourage the Christians during times of darkness and persecution. Job 13&14 is more venting in despair.

Job 11-12, 2 Peter 3 Last chapter of 3 Peter talks about the coming of Jesus and the new heaven and new earth Job 11&12 are long passages of Job venting in anguish.

Job 9-10, 2 Peter 2 I actually read the whole passage of chapter 9 & 10 of Job because it is important to hear Jobs anguish and desperation as he talks about God. 2 Peter 2 talks about identifying gals prophets and false teachers.

Job 7&8, 2 Peter 1 Peter is speaking to the Christians who are scattered. Peter reminds the people that Jesus the true God. Job 7 is a reply from Job. Job 8 is another friend giving counsel to the best of his human ability.

Job 5&6, 1 Peter 5 1 Peter 5 is the last chapter of 1 Peter. It continues with guiding people how to operate in suffering. Ironically we are reading Job which is suffering unfolding as if seeing the words of Peter in action.

Job 3-4, 1 Peter 4 Sometimes listening to a sad song when you are down is comforting. You may have that same experience when you read Job 3-4 and 1 Peter 4. 1 Peter 4 talks about how to stand firm as a Christian in midst of persecution. He also talks about end times a little.

Job 1&2, 1 Peter 3 Both passage readings today speak into to concept of suffering and how to deal with it. You will have to read both with an open heart and open mind.

Esther 9&10, 1 Peter 2 Esther 9&10 Mordecai becomes a great protector of the Jewish people. 1 Peter 2 really makes it clear that through Jesus we are a new people, God’s special possession.

Esther 7&8, 1 Peter 1 Peter is sending encouraging word to Christians who are suffering and beginning to doubt. Esther 7&8 Haman gets caught which leads to his death and the Israelites are saved.

Esther 5&6, James 5 Last chapter of James. Wealth is not the problem it is always the heart posture and how you use your wealth. James also talks about prayer and patience. Esther 5&6 tells the part of the story when Haman has to honor Mordecai.

Esther 3&4, James 4 James 4 is absolutely full of treasures. The part I love is how God longs for the spirit He has caused to dwell in us. Esther 3&4 shows Esther’s great courage. Can you be as courageous as Esther to save a generation? I pray I have the courage to speak up for truth. “…for such a time as this.”

Esther 1&2, James 3 James 3 reminds us that life and death are in the power of the tongue. Esther 1&2 begins the amazing story of God saving his people through Esther.

Nehemiah 12&13, James 2 James 2 is so so good!! If you want to mature your spirit it is important to not take verses out of context, but to chew and digest the whole Bible in its fullness. Nehemiah 12 is a great celebration to dedicate the wall. Nehemiah 13 is a shift to anguish as Nehemiah realizes the people cannot govern themselves honorably.

Nehemiah 10&11, James 1 James 1 is so rich with power and encouragement. An absolute MUST read. Nehemiah 10&11 is full of lists of names. Not a fun read, but necessary if you want to say that you read the whole Bible.
