Accidentally took a really long break, but I am back at it just in time for the holiday holidays. So let’s have a quick little chat about not making assumptions, not passing judgment and being kind to whomever and whatever circumstance may meet you this holiday season.

Comparison really is the thief of joy, so is envy and contempt and all of the other traps the enemy lays for us. So let’s chat about not only the laws set forth in the Old Testament, but also the way to eternity that Jesus gave us in the New Testament. It’s heart breaking the week our country has had and the losses we have endured. As I reflect on the incredible life of Charlie Kirk and what his loss and legacy means to me personally, I find myself called and convicted to share my faith, my love for Jesus and my hope for the Gospel to be shared even more now than it has been before. Let’s make Heaven crowded.

T+T got engaged but I’m still a bigger fan of my love story than I am a fan of anyone else’s and that’s how everyone should feel. If you are idolizing or obsessing over them, you may be missing the chance to appreciate or invest in your own love story. Anyone feeling called out?

Your time, your energy, it’s all limited. You only get so much of it. As someone who is a recovering people pleaser, take it from me that you cannot do everything and be everything all the time.. That friends is a recipe for burnout and disappointment. Allow your people to hold you accountable, to check you if you’re spending your time in ways that do not honor your priorities and values. In less than a week I get to marry the man of my dreams and his son. Just because you can see through something doesn’t make it clear does it? We are all so busy judging and deciding what is true, we forget that our perception isn’t always reality. So let’s all take a step back from playing judge and jury shall we?

Depression is.. so different from crawling under your covers and not coming out for days at a time. It looks like that too sometimes, but just as health and life isn’t one size fits all, neither is mental health or life with depression. It’s all kinds of different than what I expected and it’s always catching me off guard. So let’s chat about it.

Let’s have a conversation about body shaming, body dysmorphia, eating disorders, unsolicited opinions, modeling and all the other things. I’m tired of the shaming and the feelings of loneliness or isolation that comes with all things body. So after being prompted many times this week, we are gonna talk about it.

I’m a mess, day in and day out. Sometimes it’s not so bad, sometimes it’s worse and sometimes it’s somewhere in the middle and I just shoot and hope I don’t miss ya know? So if you want to know a little bit of the ins and outs of being me.. here ya go.

Church hurt shouldn’t be a thing. But since it is, let’s chat about it. People walk away from the gospel for all kinds of reasons but I think being burned by the church is way too big of one. I can’t possibly be the only one that’s had something happen, or in my case, a lot of events happen that drastically change, limit or alter my life in ways I can’t return or rewind. I’ve had so much taken from me without my permission.. so I think it’s time we have a conversation about that stuff, and how the hell you say goodbye to a life you never got to have.

Marriage is hard but I think the way we as a Christian people view it, teach it and approach it in the church is making it harder. I’m frustrated with it, and from personal experience find it to be limiting and isolating. So. I’m doing my best to talk about it, and hope my ramblings open the door to some change down the road. Cus the church, in my opinion has it all wrong.

Let’s talk about how I came to Jesus, how good God is and all the things. In light of Christmas coming up, I think it’s only fair to chat about my fav ABBA Father for a bit. The last few episodes were hard to share, harder to live and probably hard to hear. So time for Joy. And the best joy I know is Jesus. Don’t forget you guys, if you’re not dead, Gods not done.

Okayyyy, so everyone always asks why bad things happen to good people, or why God allows such hardship. I just got gospel smacked by the truth of this difficult question, so I am now going to do my best to convey it to you as it was just laid out for me. Today - let’s rest in and dive into Matthew 13:24-29.

why do we do New Years resolutions when we have the opportunity to change and be better than we were yesterday.. everyday? Instead of resolutions I now choose a word. A word that God gives me for the year that shapes the way I approach things and people and choices. For 2020 it was Clarity, what will 2021 bring?
