The second round of the NHL playoffs is underway and already the two Canadian teams are down to their opponents. We break down all four game 1s of the second round.

With the eliminations of Bruins, Avalanche, and Lightning, this has to be the most wild first round of the NHL playoffs we've seen in a very long time!

Seattle took a 3-2 series lead over Colorado with their 3-2 win, while the Panthers extended their series with the Bruins with at 4-3 overtime win. And I get a little philosophical at the end of the episode.

With tonight's wild playoff action, all series are 4 games deep. 3 of the 4 series in the Western Conference are tied at 2 games apiece, while only one series is even in the East.

The Oilers beat the Kings in overtime to tie the series at 2 games apiece, while the Bruins and Hurricanes took commanding 3-1 leads in their respective series.

The Canucks announced that assistant coach Jason King will not be returning for the 2023-24 season. King had been an assistant coach for the Canucks since 2020. As well, I recap tonight's NHL playoff action: 6 of the 8 series are tied at one game apiece.

The Abbotsford Canucks won their first playoff game in franchise history (since moving to Abbotsford) by defeating the Bakersfield Condors 3-0 in game one of their best of three opening round series.

The road team won game one in 6 of the 8 series. Will this trend continue?

I talk about today's year-end media availability with Patrik Allvin and Rick Tocchet; while they both acknowledged the progress that the team made especially in the second half of the season, they also admitted there is much work to do. As well, we finish off our playoff bracket by predicting the number of games for each series.

On this special Easter Monday episode, I review the Bo Horvat drama from the weekend. As well, I talk about Quinn Hughes as the next Canucks captain, and I appreciate Akito Hirose's calm and steady game.

Thatcher Demko made 33 saves to blank the Blackhawks in a game that saw Akito Hirose notch two assists and Vitali Kravtsov score his first goal as a Canuck. As well, Andrei Kuzmenko scored his 38th goal of his season, JT Miller scored his 30th goal of the season, and defenceman Cole McWard made his Canucks debut.

Rick Tocchet switched up his forward lines and d-pairings at practice today after a lacklustre effort last night against the Kraken. And we reminisce about the Sedins' final home game of their careers, played 5 years ago today.

Elias Pettersson scored his 37th goal (and 97th point) of the season in a 5-2 loss to the Seattle Kraken. Again, this looked like a game between a playoff-bound team and a team looking to play out the season.

Now that they are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, what storylines and stat lines are you most interested in for the final 2 weeks of the season?

The Canucks lost 4-1 to the Los Angeles Kings in a very non-eventful game at Rogers Arena. Akito Hirose made his debut on the blue line, and Elias Pettersson had his point streak snapped.

We covered a bunch of topics, highlighted by Quinn Hughes strong season and potential consideration for the Norris Trophy. I also covered new seats at Rogers Arena, the teams Pride Night plans, and Jim Rutherford's letter to season ticket members.

The Canucks had their 3-game winning streak snapped as they fell 6-5 in overtime to the St. Louis Blues. Quinn Hughes had 2 goals and an assist as he added to his record-breaking season point total.

Quinn Hughes recorded his 69th point of the season, breaking his own record for most points by a Canucks defenceman. Elias Pettersson scored a pair of goals to lead the team to a 4-2 victory.

The Canucks defeated the San Jose Sharks 7-2 in Filip Hronek's debut with the club. As well, Andrei Kuzmenko scored his 35th goal of the season, setting the franchise record for most goals scored by a Canuck in their first NHL season. But the biggest talking point of the night was the news that John Garrett will be retiring from commentary at the end of this season.

The Canucks have 12 games to go this season; where will they ultimately end up in the final standings?

The Canucks fell behind early but fought back, led by JT Miller. In the end, it wasn't enough to topple the Vegas Golden Knights.
