The holidays are upon us and a lot of folks are headed to the Keys. We've had some pretty awful weather this past week, so the question was asked, "What do we do when we can't go fishing?" I'll tell ya. And don't worry. Nasty weather doesn't last too long down this way.

Winter is here and the fishing is great in the Florida Keys. We are the lucky ones. When the temperatures begin to drop the fish down this way get active. Sailfish in the Atlantic, Spanish mackerel in the Gulf of Mexico and redfish in the backcountry. Take your pick and we'll see you on the water.

Sometimes the best place to find fish in the Florida Keys is to take a boat trip into the far reaches of upper Florida Bay. What I call, way in the way back.

Historically, only 2 previous "no name storms" are recognized by the National Weather Service. Well, we just experienced number 3 down here in Key Largo. It was quite the storm. 19.6 inches of rain in 24 hours and wind gust just off the coast were measured at 86 mph.
