The Good Old Days 17.10.2023

The good old days are usually thought of as times of the past. The days of growing up with glass instead of plastic. With milk delivered to your doorstep, and drinking water out of the hose. But my take is a bit different and that's what this week's podcast is about.

A Week of Fishing 10.10.2023

This weeks podcast is almost all fishing. From new rules handed down by the FWC, recent fishing reports, both inshore and offshore, and a new lure I'm pretty excited to try.

Bridge Fishing in the Keys 03.10.2023

When you don't have a boat or access to the water from shore, give bridge fishing a try here in the Florida Keys. There are lots of great places to wet a line and you never know what you might catch.

Another Season 26.09.2023

Yes indeed. Season three of Catch You Outdoors is off and running! This episode is a highlight reel of the past two years along with some future plans for year three. Thanks to everyone for listening over the past two years!

End Of Season 19.09.2023

The title is twofold. This is the last episode of season 2 on Catch You Outdoors. Season 3 begins next week. It's also a reference to the quiet time here in the Keys and other Florida locations with the end of summer. Locals get a breather.

Seventeen Hundred Islands 12.09.2023

The title came about after reading an article that said the Florida Keys are made up of 1700 islands. I kind of doubted that, but then found evidence that that's actually a pretty good number. In this podcast are also some observations of why people come to the Keys, continue to come, and sometimes don't go home. We many soon need 1700 islands to hold them all.

Jimmy Buffett 05.09.2023

Jimmy Buffett's passing hit me kind of hard. I've been a long time fan. Yep, since 1973. This podcast is a bit of reminiscing about his music and the amazing sendoff he was given in Key West on Sunday September 3rd.

Weather in the Keys 29.08.2023

This one is a bit shorter than most, but what I have to say about the weather down here in the Keys can be said like this... It's nice.

Fishing & Boats 22.08.2023

More in-depth fishing tips for the Florida Keys and some preventative care tips for boats. Also... why is a Jamaica Dogwood tree called a dogwood?

Another Week In Paradise 15.08.2023

Quiet Time Has Arrived 08.08.2023

August is upon us and the tourist are mostly headed home. It's time for the kids to go back to school. Also included this week is a rundown of all the fun I had touring my vacationing daughter and granddaughter around the Keys, both on land and on water. And finally, a mini rant about personal water craft.

Florida Keys Observations 01.08.2023

I moved to Key Largo one year ago in August and I thought I'd pass along some of my observations about what it's like to live here, instead of just visiting.

Fishing Vacations, Florida Keys Style 25.07.2023

Summer vacations are going by fast, and I know that many parents are looking for things to do to keep the kiddies busy. What could be better than a fishing vacation for the family down this way, in the Florida Keys? Here's some ideas and suggestions for making the most of your visit.

Yes, it's hot outside. Of course it is. It's JULY! Tune in for ways to beat the heat, some fishing reports, and things to do in the Florida Keys. No one wants to stay inside.

Mix Mash of Thoughts 11.07.2023

There's a lot of news happening down in the Keys. A bit of fishing, underwater music, lifejackets, spiny lobster mini-season, and much more. Thanks for listening!

A Guides Life 04.07.2023

When fishing guides get together there's a lot of talk about past trips, fishing tips and how they survived out there on the water. It's a tough life and a good life, all at the same time.

All Around the Florida Keys 27.06.2023

Continuing my slight format change to multi subject vs. one major on each podcast. This one does have a spotlight on books, some about fishing and some about the outdoors. I've also included fishing reports, happenings, and tide and moon phases.

Florida Hideouts 20.06.2023

Have you ever wanted to just get away from all the noise and problems that seem to pile up each week. I've made a list of the small hideaways where you can stay and do just that. Also some news about formatting of future podcast. There's more time to play, so I'm going there.

Do Your Part - Don't Be Trashy 13.06.2023

When I'm on the water, or on the beach, I always seem to see someone else's tossed trash. I honestly don't know why there are so many folks that can't seem to take trash home with them and dispose of it properly. This podcast is about respecting the outdoors and specifically doing your part to help to keep Florida's land and water clean. Yeah, I have to get on the soapbox every...

Movies Filmed in the Florida Keys 08.06.2023

After watching a war movie on Turner Classic Movies over the Memorial Day weekend, I was surprised to find out it was filmed, almost entirely, in the Florida Keys. So, I searched for others and that led to this podcast. Hope you enjoy listening.

Random Thoughts #4 30.05.2023
