First of a 2 part special recorded live at the event held in late april 2026 near Durham. We set the scene on the event and Adam captures field recordings depicting the experience of various attendees.

John visits the workshop of Phil Bradley to discuss all things willow and how to diversify to make a living from your craft. Phil grows his own stock material and the recording was made shortly after the annual willow harvest in january.

John chats with David Trapps about renewed interest in manual typewriters as a push back against digital overload. John explains what attracted him to purchasing a typewriter and having it serviced by David.

John interviews Adam, finding about his passion for history, his journey to becoming a professional blacksmith and his plans going forward.
