Toonhounds

Howdy doody toonarinos. We watched some sci-fi cartoons this week, we think anyway. One of them might not be sci-fi? We're not sure. We watched Arcane , a show based on a video game apparently, and Scavenger's Reign, a victim of HBO being a bunch of tossers. --- https://www.patreon.com/Toonhounds Rich Masters - @richmasters.bsky.social Spivzy - @sp...

Toonhounds! Rock Rock On!! This week we're loading up on hairspray and getting our spiked platform boots on, to watch some movies about rock music with our friend Matthew. First up we're watching a film about Mick Jagger summoning a demon in Rock & Rule, then a movie everyone who likes boobs has seen at some point -- Heavy Metal. --- https://www.patreon.com/Toonhoun...

Howdy toonfans! This week we watched some shows from this stupid little landmass we call Blightingham. Bananaman , a show starring The Goodies, and Superted , a show starring that one guy from It Ain't Half Hot, Mum. So you can tell this episode is gonna be full of references to things everyone gets. --- Music by Vidazen.carrd.co

Howdy toonfans! This week we watched two movies about generational trauma, identity and acceptance. They also both happened to be on Netflix, so that's what we're saying the topic of the show is! KPop Demon Hunters and Nimona are getting the treatment this week, and, spoilers, we loved them both.

Ahoy, Toonfans! Sometimes over on the RLS Toonhound we like to do things a little differently, and seeing as how our two topics today — Treasure Planet & Titan A.E — are essentially the same movie, we decided to put them both through their paces. Twenty-one categories! Two contestants! Which movie has the best ship?! The best mother figure?! The best soundtrack?! Who wins, who dies, we decide!

READY ... FIGHT This week on toonhounds we're quarter circle punching our way into your earholes with an episode on fighting games. Can you listen to it right now? Shoryuken. Starting off, we watched Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, a film about unrequited love. Then we talk a bunch about the concept of hatred, leaving things in the past, and the idea that your likes and dislikes don&#39...

Howdy, you dirty rats. This week on Toonhounds we're cooking up something real good in the kitchen of your ears, and talking about two diametrically opposed films about our favourite rodents. We watched Ratatoing , a movie about food being disgusting and that theft is okay, and Ratatouille, a movie that's actually good.

This week we're throwing a quick ball and grabbing your attention with a 4x catch rate modifier at the start of the encounter, and watching two episodes of Pokémon! We watched two of the first episodes (like picking starters? Work with me on this one), the pilots of Indigo League and Horizons. Gotta catch em all, and by em, well, hehe, I think you know. --- https://www.p...

Howdy Toonhounds! On the show this week we're watching two great shows from Joe Murray, released a decade apart. First up is Rocko's Modern Life - Sugar Frosted Frights & Ed is Dead , two episodes full of references that would fly over most kid's heads. Then we watched Camp Lazlo - Tusk Wizard & Squirrel Scout Slinkman, a show about just some lovely boys. --- ...

Howdy toonfriends. This week, we, wait for it... went ape. First up we watched the bafflingly complex Kong: The Animated Series. Then we opened a big barrel of monkeys and watched the last episode of Donkey Kong Country. And because we couldn't resist, we repeat jokes from The Simpsons episode A Fish Called Selma for about half an hour. This is a yapper episode, so if you like tangents... ---...

The last time we did an episode on the weird, we watched a movie about a secret agent frog named FRO7. How do you top that? With Paddy The Pelican -- a cartoon that was apparently animated live -- and Secret Mountain Fort Awesome. --- https://www.patreon.com/Toonhounds Rich Masters - @richmasters.bsky.social Spivzy - @spivzy.bsky.social music by VidaZen ...

Matthew's back everyone! This week we took a look at a show we now can't believe we'd never seen before, Steven Universe! Is it as good as they say? (yes, spoilers) We watched, well, about 12 episodes, but the focus is on Gem Glow, Giant Woman and Steven and the Stevens --- https://www.patreon.com/Toonhounds Matthew - @majorthird.bsky.social Rich M...

What is this, a crossover episode?! This week on Toonhounds, our special guests were ourselves from our other show. Ol' hornhead doesn't have many cartoon appearances to speak of, but boy howdy we're not letting that slow us down. We watched And The Blind Shall Lead Them from Fox Kid's own Fantastic Four, Man Without Fear  from Spider-Man, and Duel With The Devil from Disney+'s...

In the immortal words of Optimus Prime: "Toonhounds is my favourite podcast." Wow, thanks Optimus! This week we were joined by SquidLudwig to talk about three cartoons related to a specific breed of metamorphic automatons; Transformers Victory, Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege, and Transformers One. --- https://www.patreon.com/Toonhounds Rich Mast...

Hello!! This week we we watched some movies from a studio we both love, and apparently neither of us know how to say. Don't bother telling me now! I know it's a soft G!!! Anyway, we watched The Cat Returns and Princess Mononoke. One being a movie about the conflict between industrialisation and nature, feminism and revolt, and the other being a movie about a funny cat. --- https:/...

Howdy Toonfans! This week we decided not to watch any of the classics, we've seen 'em! They've been done! So we wanted to look beyond , into the depths of copying someone else's homework. Scooby-doo? Big deal! How about Goober and The Ghost Chasers? Tom and Jerry? More like cliche and tropey! Give us some Herman and Katnip! --- https://www.patreon.com/Toonhounds...

TOONHOUNDSMON DIGI-ARMOR DIGIVOLVE TO.... NEWEPISODEMON Hello. This week we were joined by friend of the show N8Bit to discuss one of the most convoluted, complex, complicated, convex and concave movies we've ever seen: Digimon The Movie. A Frankenstein's monster of a film stitched together from three separate releases. But we also watched the first episode of Digimon Tamers, a series righ...

Howdy toonfans! This week we're watching some cartoons based on Greek myth! How accurate are they? Is Hercules the best Disney movie as long as we put on a bunch of criteria beforehand? Could we have made a better version of Class of the Titans? Find out some of these things and more. We watched: Hercules (1997) Class of the Titans (2005) --- https://www.patreon.com/Toonhounds...

Ho ho ho, Toonfans! That's right, it's that time of year when santa's busiest elves, the toonhounds, take a break from building toys for rich children at the behest of our coal lobbyist shareholders, and sit down with Matthew Tucciarone to talk about cartoons. This time, we watched Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and The Disney's The Tim Burton's The Henry Selick's The Nightmare Before Christmas. -...

Feels disengenuous not to title it that, because that's basically what both of these cartoons were about! This week we put on our booty shorts and tiny backpack, used a whip to swing across shark infested waters and stole an episode from its rightful owners! We watched the new Lara Croft show on Netflix, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft and The Road to El Dorado! --- https://www.p...

Howdy toonfans! This week on Toonhounds we watched a show about horses. You know what this is, I don't have to tell anyone. We watched the 1986 My Little Pony: The Movie, and the pilot episode of Friendship is Magic. Neigh. Whinny. Etc. --- https://www.patreon.com/Toonhounds Rich Masters - @MastersRich on twitter, @richmasters.bsky.social Spivzy - @spivzy.bsky.social music by...

Beep bop beepbeep boop! That was futuretalk for hello. This week on Toonhounds we got in our magical car and timetraveled to the far off year of 2001 to watch some cartoons about the future. First up is another of those shows we expected to be a lot worse, Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century. Then a show that we've been trying to watch for ages but couldn't think of a theme, Batman Beyond: Return...

The stage has been set, the contestants are in their seats, the GRAND TOONAMENT is about to begin! The toons have been waiting for this moment their entire lives, the moment we find out what is the GREATEST cartoon ever featured on Toonhounds? Using an incredibly partial panel of handsome, beautiful judges, the cartoons were put through their limits in a series of tasks and events to determine the...

Boo!! Scared ya. This week we're watching some good ol' fashioned spooky cartoons, the Beetlejuice cartoon from 1989 and The Addams Family from 1992! We tangent a lot in this one, have fun! --- https://www.patreon.com/Toonhounds Rich Masters - @MastersRich on twitter, @richmasters.bsky.social Spivzy - @spivzy.bsky.social music by VidaZen https://vidazen.carrd.co/

This week we watched the fastest thing around, the blue blur, quicky magoo himself, Sonic The Hedgehog. A series of which Spivzy knows enough to get by, and Rich knows absolutely nothing. We watched SatAM and Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog, and had a good old time! --- https://www.patreon.com/Toonhounds Rich Masters - @MastersRich on twitter, @richmasters.bsky.social Spivzy - @sp...
