This Week in Habsland

This week we take a long look at the Montreal Canadiens offseason and answer some big questions, including: What will the Demidov contract look like? Who stays and who goes among the Habs UFAs & RFAs? Can Arber and Florian be wingers on the same line? We also give out the rest of our Habsland Awards, including game of the year, goal of the year, performance of the year, and many more.

On this week’s episode we try to consolidate our thoughts on the Habs season since it ended, talk about the near-trade for Matthew Knies, complain about Dylan Larkin, and hand out our Habsland MVP.

The Habs defeated the Sabres 6-2 with great performances from Lane Hutson, Jakub Dobes, and many more Canadiens players and we are here to talk about it!

The Montreal Canadiens lost Game 4 in their best-of-seven series on Sunday night despite a 2-0 lead and strong play from Nick Suzuki, Jakub Dobes, and Lane Hutson. We discuss the Slafkovksy-Crozier hit, Kapanen’s phantom penalty, and an opportunity missed.

The Canadiens went up 2-1 in the series with the Tampa Bay Lightning, with yet another overtime goal deciding the game. This time it was Lane Hutson's bomb that clinched it.
