The Extra Point

When we think of costly obedience, we often picture sacrifice we choose. But Scripture suggests our greatest acts of faith may be found in how we respond when suffering, loss, and disappointment choose us—and whether we continue to treasure Christ above everything else.

Many believers know the stories of Scripture but struggle to see how they all fit together. Understanding God’s covenants reveals the Bible as one unfolding story of redemption, with every promise, law, and shadow ultimately pointing to Jesus Christ.

One of the most surprising commands in Exodus 19 appears just before God descends upon Mount Sinai. Far from being a statement about sexuality, it reveals a deeper truth about consecration, priorities, and the holiness of the God who was about to meet His people.
