The Ace Couple

Pronatalists like JD Vance, Elon Musk, and Simone & Malcom Collins have very dangerous ideas for society that everyone should be raising alarm bells about. Unfortunately, they have tremendous wealth and power and they're infiltrating every level of our federal government, so we need to take them very seriously.

HBO's Genera+ion held so much promise for a sapphic, mixed-orientation allo-ace relationship. It is pretty obvious that Greta is an Asexual teenager whose only just beginning to understand herself and probably doesn't have the language for it yet, however, the show got cancelled, so we unfortunately won't get to see more of her character development.

What Now? with Trevor Noah recently platformed Scott Galloway. In the past, Scott has asserted that pro-Palestinian protests are the antisemitic result of college students not having enough sex. Now, he says Asexual men are a danger to society.

We recorded this episode before RFK Jr's latest autism registry bullshit.

It's time to dive into the deep, dark depths of the Acephobia-Transphobia pipeline. A phenomenon which has been self-reported by TERFs and witnessed by the Asexual community for years. If you're new here because J.K. Rowling's hate tweets attacking International Asexuality Day surprised you, then welcome! We've got SO MUCH to catch you up on...

On International Asexuality Day, JK Rowling wished us a "Happy International Fake Oppression Day to everyone who wants complete strangers to know they don't fancy a shag". Large swaths of the internet were surprised and concluded that her bigotry is growing...but any Aces paying attention already predicted this would happen YEARS ago, because transphobia and acephobia go hand in hand.

TTRPGs are a source of great joy in our life...except, of course, when we dive into these subreddits.

Life is Strange: Steph's Story is not only a welcome edition to the Life is Strange universe, but it is actually written by Aromantic Asexual author Rosiee Thor an includes a delightfully realistic and relatable Ace character.

Life is Strange is one of our favorite franchises, and we finally have not only one, but TWO examples of Ace rep that can be found within. Today we discuss the almost certainly Demisexual character Diamond Washington in the video game Life is Strange: Double Exposure.

In this, the year 2025, people are fed up with dating apps, conservatives, and even talking to people like a real person. Luckily we have such innovations as Pokemon Go and AI to solve these problems. And if that doesn't work, perhaps we can turn to the government-run dating apps. What could possibly go wrong!?

Our dentist offered us HRT to "cure our low libido". Yes, really.

Times are scary out there, but you didn't need us to tell you that, so today we're keeping in chill and chatting about some of the things that have been keeping us as happy and healthy as possible including hobbies, pets, habits, and more.

We're, unfortunately, back at it again with the weird allo reality shows. Today we talk about MILF Manor, Love Island, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and Later Daters.

It's Aro Week and Courtney's been feeling awfully Aromantic lately...but even so, it's still complicated. So here's some probably demiromantic rambling on the topic.

New research on public attitudes towards asexuality has been published by Kings College London Policy institute authored by Yasmin Benoit, Vanessa Hirneis, and Michael Sanders. Today we have Yasmin back to discuss a few of these findings and to give an audience Q&A!

Politics is a hellscape right now, but here's a little glimmer of GOOD news that you may have missed!

Back by popular demand!

As a charting podcast, we receive some bizarre PR pitches that are hilariously misaligned with our content at best and downright acephobic at worst. Take a peak into our inbox as we throw some shade at "life-saving" sexual technologies and grad school eunichs.

Even though Word of God representation leaves a lot to be desired, Viktor could be a very interesting case study as a character that became more fleshed out and humanized at the same time he was determined to be Asexual. This bucks usual trends we see when a character's asexuality gets erased as they grow.

Once again we have a "creator confirms off-screen on a twitch interview that a character is asexual" situation on our hands. But wait there's more! It's also the disabled character who becomes a robot. We have THOUGHTS (but they may not be what you think)!

We're welcoming the New Year with leading activist Yasmin Benoit to talk about her Ace in the UK report, her many "controversies", and an exciting announcement...Stay tuned for Part Two! Submit questions for Part Two! contact@theacecouple.com

New subreddit, who dis?

I Saw the TV Glow is a visceral queer horror movie that expresses the fear of living as your authentic self and, perhaps more importantly, the fear of never having the opportunity. Many viewers pick up on the Transgender themes, but fewer notice the subtler themes that can be interpreted as Asexual and/or Aromantic.

Time to right our past wrongs and finally officially judge the ungrateful lizard gender reveal invitee...among other r/AITA posts pertaining to Aces. Get the gavel ready.

According to a recent survey, nearly a quarter of iPhone users say green bubbles are a dating dealbreaker, so that's our cue to rant about about technology and capitalism.
