Redemption Church Flagstaff

Pastor Kyle takes us through the second half of the sermon on the plain!

Join us as we look at the first half of Luke's "Sermon on the Plain". A sermon about a sermon given by Jesus about what his kingdom is like. Today Anthony has us examine what Jesus proclaims, promises, and plans to us and for us.

Join us as Anthony takes us through a story of Jesus and the Pharisees challenging each other's understanding of the Heart of God.

Rand Habegger takes us through a fun and well known story and gives us some fresh insights into what is a "fan favorite" story for Christians.

Gretchen Gee preaches a wonderful sermon for us looking at the passage in Luke 5 where Jesus recruits his disciples to be "fishers of men". She shows that Jesus' invitation to follow him involves following Jesus despite the drop, despite the terrain, and despite ourselves.

Aaron takes us through Luke 4:14-44 in which we see how Jesus engaged with the crowds - Not seeking popularity nor flinching from rejection but sticking to truth and emphasizing His priorities.

We get to Luke chapter 4, and it starts off with one of the most famous scenes in the Gospels; the Temptation of Jesus. Today we read this story a little bit differently than how it is usually utilized as a passage. We see four things in this story; Jesus is fighting the devil, the devil is fighting dependence on God, Jesus succeeds where humanity fails, and we need to depend on Jesus. Take a list...

Dave Reynolds takes us through the 3rd chapter of Luke, focusing on the true nature of Repentance and the gentleness of God as He guides us to His peace and love.

Week 2 of the Gospel of Luke, and we have an extensive conversation about the word Messiah! What does that word mean? Does Luke think Jesus is the messiah? What kind of messiah is Jesus? Take a listen!

We start a new book of the Bible this week; The Gospel of Luke. Today Anthony gives two mini-sermons in one! One about what the gospel of Luke is what Luke is going about doing, and another about the opening stories of Angels and pregnant women.

We wrap up our Songs of the Soul series by looking at a very important Psalm; Psalm 72. All throughout the Psalms, Justice and Righteousness are often mentioned together. This is because God himself is those things, but it's also because God desired that his people embody those things too. Take a listen to hear how this Psalm should form us today.

This week we look at the longest psalm in the song book; Psalm 119. It is all about love of and for God's word. Anthony shows us how to have it embedded in our lives by teaching two of it's most common words; Law (torah) and Delight. Take a listen.

This week Anthony takes us through Psalm 107 to highlight Psalms of thanksgiving. Pushing us towards having a heart of gratitude for what the Lord has provided.

Pastor and president of the Beloved Community Aaron Dailey shares a great word about the theme of Lament in the Psalms today. Admittedly he's new to lamenting, but with that brings fresh perspective to an important aspect of our prayer lives. He teaches us four important things about lament rooted in Psalm 88.

We start a new series today called Songs of the Soul. We are spending time in the book of Psalms by looking at 7 of the major themes seen in the book of Psalms. Each week we will go through a Psalm that reflects that theme. This week's theme: Praise and Worship of God!

This week we close our series on the Holy Spirit. We end by looking at one of the most pervasive metaphors about the Holy Spirit in the New Testament which is to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Take a listen.

This week we have church once again at the park. And we tackle one of the most talked about aspects of the work of the Holy Spirit; the sign gifts. Anthony takes us through some general principles we should believe as we think about the sign gifts, and then talks about the three sign gifts in particular; healing, tongues, and prophecy.

Pastor Kyle takes us through the topic of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Take a listen!

Even though church is at the park for the month of June, we are continuing our series called; The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit. Today's topic is the fruit of the Spirit! We see how what we learn about the fruit of the Spirit really makes us ask the question of what is growing out of us?

Today we got to here from the lead pastor of Beloved South Phoenix; Juan Chavez. We were so blessed to hear him give us some updates on ministries we have supported and partnered with, as well as walk us through, what it means to walk by the Spirit.

This week Gretchen Gee brings us an amazing word from Acts 2 on Pentecost Sunday. She helps us see how this text shows us that we are no longer alone. She does a great job showing us what the text meant for the first listeners, what it means for us, and what it means for our broader culture. Be sure to take a listen!

This week we see what Jesus teaches us about the Holy Spirit. Three main ideas Jesus seems to be trying to get across; 1. It is to our advantage that we have the Holy Spirit. 2. The Holy Spirit is the Ultimate Friend. 3. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth.

Aaron Dailey leads us through Luke 3-4 as it reveals the Holy Spirit not just as power, but as a Person to know. Through the life of Jesus, we see what it means to be filled, led, empowered, and sent by the Spirit living from identity as beloved sons and daughters of God.

We spend another week looking at the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament. We see that Holy Spirit lives among the people of God but not in the people of God yet. We see the Holy Spirit is there with them, but also empowers them, and speaks to them. We talk about what that means for us today as people that seek the Holy Spirit.
