It would be safe to say that undercover Christians do little or nothing to accomplish anything in this world for the cause of Christ. Only those who are bold and unashamed really make a statement to the world that Jesus is for real.

Summer camp season has arrived and Tom is at camp this week talking about why a week at camp is such a great time to have a fresh encounter with God.  

With just 24 hours in a day, it would seem that there is never enough time to accomplish everything. However, it is essential to learn how to disconnect for a time so that you can be more effective in doing what needs to be done in life.

In Matthew 13, Jesus taught about the productivity of the Word of God. He then addressed things that will limit its effectiveness, especially what he called thorns. Four specific things are named that represent thorns that choke the influence of the Word of God.

The life of Jesus changed the course of history for mankind. Yet Jesus change the course of history, one life at a time. Today Tom looks at three individuals from the gospel of John who met Jesus personally and came away very different.

In his teaching, Jesus made it very clear that being was more important than having or doing. It is eternity, and an eternal focus that enables us to determine the things that are most valuable and certainly most worth living for.

Thursday, May 7, is the National Day of Prayer. This is a day for those who love God and their country to come together to seek God and to pray for God's help and a spiritual awakening across our nation.  

On July 4th, the United States of America will celebrate its 250th birthday. However for those of us who know the Lord spiritual preparation is even more significant than patriotic celebration. Join Tom as he talks about spiritual preparation for this event.

When you immerse yourself in the life of Christ, the truths so clearly presented about his life will become a part of your own. Christlikeness is the ability to live in such a way that Jesus is clearly seen and heard in the way you live.

When the Devil knocks on your door, bringing temptation to sin with him, you must choose how to answer the door properly. If he gets his foot in the door, it will not be long till he tries to take over the whole place.

If you want to be a true follower of Jesus, it begins with desire, but involves saying no and saying yes to things that will either hinder or help their  experience. Disciples of Jesus maintain personal and spiritual discipline throughout their life.

The Jewish Passover is a time of great significance for the Jewish people. It also should be a time of significance for born again Christians. In the Passover we find a beautiful picture of God's redemptive plan of salvation for all people. 

The request that the disciples made of Jesus was so specific. They wanted to pray like He prayed and they desired that He would teach them how to do it. This request must  likewise become the prayer of all who will truly follow Jesus.

When the angel told both Joseph and Mary to call the baby Jesus, a name was given that was more significant than any other in human history. This name would state the purpose for which the baby would be born which was to save people from their sin.

In this episode, Tom continues to explain the biblical qualifications of discipleship. Along with being a believer, and a learner, a disciple is one who is willing to follow and to abide for the remainder of his life here on earth.

An individual can become a believer in Christ in a matter of minutes. Yet becoming a disciple of Christ is truly the experience of a lifetime. It's important to understand the biblical meaning of becoming a follower of Christ.

The Lord Jesus was an incredible communicator. The spoken word was a word from the Lord that he used to communicate God's message to the audiences that Jesus addressed. In this episode learn some of the qualities of the teaching of Jesus.

Matthew 5-7 contains the greatest sermon ever preached by the greatest preacher who ever preached. It is a wonderful spiritual exercise to read through, think through, and pray through these wonderful chapters.

Authentic Christianity never has been about "a walk in the park," or "a stroll down easy street." Those who have truly practiced what they preached often had to experience the persecution Jesus said would come to his followers.

Modern culture is consumed with social status. It's important to many to be famous and well-known. Yet it was Jesus who did not allow his reputation to become a dominant factor in his life. He lived well, but not for himself.

In a culture where an "all about me" lifestyle seems to be more evident than ever, brokenness seems like a foreign concept. Yet it was Jesus who displayed this character trait in a wonderful way as he lived a humble life.

If you are going to see Jesus in a new way, it is essential that your view of other people and places is diminished. It is only when all other distractions have been removed that some of the most genuine times with the Lord will be experienced.

It could be well said that good information leads to great conformation which will then produce godly transformation . Jesus said that we were to learn of him and it's in so doing that we are prepared to then live for him.
