Foursquare VGC

Foursquare VGC is a community of imperfect people who have collided with the saving grace of Jesus. Our heart is to passionately reflect God’s love in the World through inspiring gatherings, meaningful spiritual growth, and volunteer work that makes a tangible difference in our community. Foursquare church would go to any length to tell a person that God loves them and has a plan for their life and that is radically committed to living out the heart of God in their city and around the world.

OVERFLOWING THANKFULNESS - REV PETER AMEADAJI 07.10.2026

A tree survives the storm because of what you cannot see. Marking 25 years of Foursquare VGC, this anniversary thanksgiving message walks through Colossians 2:7 and its four pictures of a church and a believer: rooted in the soil of Christ with no desire to be transplanted; built up on a foundation no one abandons; strengthened by the undiluted word, because Satan struggles to deceive a Bible-taug...

THE MEASURE OF GOD'S EXPECTATION OF OUR STEWARDSHIP - REV. PETER AMEADAJI 30.09.2026

As our church approaches its 25th anniversary, a simple question came up:  if God looked at our 25 years, would He give us a pass mark? In this closing message of the  Stewarding God's Way  series, we look honestly at how we measure ourselves. We tend to be generous when we grade our own performance and strict when we grade other people. We bring that same habit into our relationship with God....

THE JUDGEMENT DAY IS COMING - Pst. Sunkanmi Olowo 18.09.2026

A man guarded a locked box all his life and let no one near it. The day he died, his sons took the key off his body and opened it. If it had really been his, he'd have taken it with him. In this message on stewardship, we look at what it means to hold everything in trust — and the five areas we'll give account for: our trust and positions of leadership, our time, our treasure, our talent,...

STEWARDING GOD’S WAY - REV. PETER AMEADAJI 08.09.2026

Everything you hold, you hold on trust — and God has never relinquished ownership. As Foursquare VGC approaches 25 years, this opening message on stewardship from Matthew 25 and 1 Corinthians 4 asks four searching questions: who is a steward, what are you a steward over, what is God's way of stewarding, and why does His way matter? Rather than hand you a list, it makes you build your own — you...

Empowering Grace - Rev. Ameadaji 02.09.2026

Paul was caught up to paradise — and then given a thorn in the flesh. He prayed three times for it to go, and God answered with something else entirely: "My grace is sufficient for you." In this closing message on empowering grace from 2 Corinthians 12, we discover why God often meets our needs by transformation rather than substitution, why a promise serves us better than an explanation...

EMPOWERING GRACE FOR SANCTIFICATION - PST. MRS BERNICE ALIYU 26.08.2026

The same grace that saved you is the grace that changes you. In this message from Titus 2:11–12, we unpack the two-sided coin of grace: justification, which makes us righteous before God through Christ alone — never through good behaviour or church attendance — and sanctification, which is just as much God's work as our salvation was. Like yeast in flour, grace causes what God has already plac...

Empowering Grace - Rev. Samson Alawode 26.08.2026

Grace does not always choose the qualified — it qualifies the chosen. In this convocation message from 1 Corinthians 15:9–10, we're reminded that the man who called himself the least of the apostles became the writer of half the New Testament, and that God still picks people whose past disqualifies them: a persecutor, a fugitive, a farmer. Discover why empowering grace displays God's sover...

BEING DEVOTED TO PRAYER WITH GOOD CONDUCT - Rev. Dr. Joseph Aliyu 25.07.2026

We know workaholics, alcoholics and sports fanatics — people consumed by something. Paul calls believers to be that consumed by prayer. In this message from Colossians 4:2–6, we're challenged to drop the "prayer contractor" habit of paying others to pray for us, and to pray like Daniel under a death decree, Nehemiah for his nation, Hannah in her agony, and Jesus through the night. Al...

Slay the Earthly (Part 2) - Rev. Peter Ameadaji 16.07.2026

In this concluding 'Slay the Earthly' message on Colossians 3:5–9, we name what Paul told believers to put to death: the sexual sins we hide, the greed that quietly becomes idolatry, and the "social sins" we've learned to excuse — pride in anger, malice that grieves at another's success, gossip dressed up as prayer concern, caustic words, and lies (half a fact is a whole...

Slay the Earthly - Rev. Peter Ameadaji 07.07.2026

A pickpocket lost one hand for his first offence, the other for his second — and continued his trade with his teeth. Surgery doesn't change the heart. In this message from Colossians 3:5–9, we take up Paul's second instruction to the believer: put to death whatever belongs to the earthly nature — because the old self can't be renewed or reformed, only killed. Learn how to answer tempta...

Seek the Heavenly - Rev. Peter Ameadaji 07.07.2026

Two new believers once declined a wild party with a remarkable RSVP: "We regret that we cannot attend, because we recently died." In this study of Colossians 3:1–4, we discover what that death means — and the life that follows it. You died with Christ, you live in Christ, your life is hidden with Christ in God, and you're already seated with Him — so why sleep in the gatehouse when y...

Making Spiritual Progress - Rev. Peter Ameadaji 07.07.2026

A father once boiled a kettle of water and poured it into the ocean's edge so his daughter would believe the cold sea was warm. That's how deception works — a flag of truth surrounded by lies. In this message from Colossians 2:4–7, we learn that the best safeguard against drifting is steady spiritual progress, painted in six pictures: the soldier's discipline, the pilgrim's walk of...

Reality Check on Colossians 07.07.2026

In this candid panel discussion wrapping up the month of June in Colossians, two believers — one saved in 1997, one in 2021 — share the false teachings that once held them captive and how the truth of "complete in Christ" set them free. From formula religion and prosperity-gospel transactions to encounter-boasting and cheap grace, this reality check names the landmines and hands you the...

A Faithful Father - Mr. Emmanuel Ocholi 07.07.2026

When someone calls you "papa," you're a papa — whether you planned it or not. In this Father's Day message from 1 Thessalonians 2:10–12, a veteran mentor to over fifty adopted sons and daughters unpacks what makes a father faithful: loyal, dependable, intentional. Discover the three inheritances every father carries, why casting vision for your children matters more than putting...

LIVING BY OUR TRUE IDENTITY IN CHRIST - Pst. Sukanmi Olowo 07.07.2026

A butterfly never crawls back into its cocoon — yet many believers keep reaching for the old life Christ already buried. In this study of Colossians 3:1–11, we learn what it means to live out our new identity: set your mind on things above, put your old nature to death — completely, not temporarily — and strip off anger, vengeance, malice, slander and lies like grave clothes left behind. What must...

Freedom in Christ: Don't Be Kidnapped, Judged, or Disqualified - Dcn. Dominic Ichaba 07.07.2026

Bank tellers aren't trained on counterfeits — they're trained on genuine currency so well that every fake exposes itself. That's how believers defeat false teaching: know Christ deeply and continue in Him. In this study of Colossians 2:6–23, we unpack Paul's three warnings — don't let anyone take you captive through hollow philosophy, judge you over food, drink or sacred days,...

No Philosophy, No Legalism Christ Is Enough - Pst. Mrs. Bernice Aliyu 07.07.2026

Imagine clearing immigration with a valid visa, while someone insists you need certificates the country never asked for. That's what false teaching does to believers — adding fear-driven requirements to a salvation that's already complete. In this message from Colossians 2, we expose the enemy's oldest trick of deception through persuasive words, philosophy, tradition and man-made rules, and redis...

Reconciled, Not Drifting: Complete in Christ Alone - Rev. Peter Ameadaji 07.07.2026

You were once far from God — His enemy, even — but He made the first move. In this message from Colossians 1:21–28, we unpack three life-anchoring truths: the reconciliation that presents you holy, without blemish and free from accusation; the drift that threatens believers through false teaching, fear-peddling and "Christ-plus" gospels; and the secret hidden for ages, now revealed — Christ in you...

From Sympathy to Service: Turning Compassion into Action - Rev. Dr. Joseph Aliyu 07.07.2026

Compassion that never moves is vision without action. In this message from Matthew 9:35–38 and the book of Haggai, we're challenged to "consider our ways" — to stop building only our own houses while God's harvest field waits. Discover why loving God means obeying Him, how to overcome fear and discouragement in evangelism, what sacrificial giving really looks like, and the power...

An Exposition on the book of Esther - Rev. Peter Ameadaji 16.02.2026

In this message, we journey through the Book of Esther to uncover purpose, courage, and generational impact. You’ll hear how God’s invisible hand worked through key characters, King Xerxes, Vashti, Esther, Mordecai, and Haman, to protect His people and fulfill His plans, even in a hostile environment. This teaching highlights the power of divine positioning (“for such a time as this”), the call to...

Don’t Be Left Behind: Envisioning for Greater Heights - Rev. Peter Ameadaji 11.02.2026

God is moving, and this is not the season to stand still. In this message, the listener is invited into a powerful moment of spiritual awareness: a reminder that God’s work often moves like a train, unstoppable, advancing, and purposeful. You don’t need to understand everything to join it… but you do need to step on. “Don’t Be Left Behind: Envisioning for Greater Heights” is a call to lift your ey...

Divine Honour and Dignity - Pst. Okien Peters 10.02.2026

In this episode, we take a deep, eye-opening look at Divine Honour and Dignity—not as the world defines honour, but as God defines it. Anchored in John 12:26, the message tackles a vital question: What does divine honour actually look like, and how does God honour His people? You’ll hear clear, practical insight on why serving Jesus is central to experiencing God’s honour, and why divine honour is...

Anchored in John 12:26, the message tackles a vital question: What does divine honour actually look like, and how does God honour His people? Partakers of the Divine Nature (Day 3 - 1st Service) - Dr. Okey Onuzo 16.01.2026

As this teaching series comes to a close, Dr. Okono answers a crucial question: Why are we being conformed to become partakers of the divine nature? The answer is purpose—God is raising men and women of power, not religious spectators. Using Daniel’s prophecy (Daniel 2:44–45), this episode reveals the Kingdom of God as a mission of power, a kingdom destined to outlast and ultimately overpower the...

Partakers of the Divine Nature (Day 2) - Dr. Okey Onuzo 16.01.2026

In this episode, Dr. Okey Onuzo delivers a stirring message on “Partakers of the Divine Nature” (2 Peter 1:3–4), a call to move from merely knowing the truth to living it. You’ll discover how God’s divine power equips us to live a Christlike life, escape the corruption of the world, and walk in spiritual authority that heaven endorses. With practical teaching from Scripture, the episode explores:...
