My first "real" job! I worked as a teacher in a poor neighborhood and quickly learned that there are people with very different lives than mine. The systemic problems that were taught to me in school were very, very real. Seeing the results of those problems while creating a curriculum was too much for me, but I am very grateful for the lessons I learned there.

The beginning of the journey! I left my home state to drive across the country to California. I saw wide open spaces as my friend and I drove into the sunset on a daily basis. With my newfound perspective that Everything is Connected, I saw myself as tiny and huge at the same time! I fell in love with the land and learned many lessons along the way. I want to share my story with you so that you feel more comfortable to share your stories with me. I have been on quite a journey! In this episode, I tell you the quick version of how I found self-love. More stories to come!
