Too often our emotions are improperly influenced by what others say about us. Jesus' words set us free from that trap.

Jesus' leadership and influence has so transformed the world, that people assume and live by the values he taught often without even realizing they are living his teaching.

Jesus' teaching to love our enemies, seems childish, but actually reveals tremendous wisdom and actually sets us free.

The religious leaders who condemned Jesus for declaring the paralytic's sins forgiven, illustrate to us the danger of assuming that we have completely grasped all there is to know about God, rather than examining our own beliefs when confronted with an idea we don't agree with.

As the circumstances of Jesus' birth made him assessable for the shepherds to find him, so also is Jesus assessable to anyone who seeks him today.

Our perspective of who God is and his character will have a powerful impact on us and how we live our life. That being the case, it is helpful for us to examine how we view God.
