Cowabunga, CAMHPers! Colin and Nick are still trying to be in the same place at the same time to record an episode so it's another in Nick's mini solo series where he asks a question as a sort of rhetorical device to let him witter on for a bit and, this week, it's the turn of those heroes in the half shell - the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So grab a slice of pizza and avoid the use...

Catastrophe! Due to technical failure, the planned episode with Colin and Nick talking about Bishop is unsalvageable. Never fear, however, for Colin has stepped into the breach to do a whistlestop one-man recreation of that very episode for your listening pleasure. So here is not-quite-but-almost the lost episode - enjoy! NOTE:- We'll be dropping down to a fortnightly schedule for the time bei...

Catastrophe (and not just for the unsuspecting inhabitants of Tokyo)! Technical difficulties unfortunately stomped on this week's planned 90s X-Men themed episode so instead, we have an emergency broadcast in which our very own Nick Krik asks the question:- is Godzilla part of the Marvel universe? There's only one way to find out... SUPPORT US: See the full character order, suggest more for us to...

Join Colin and Nick as they emerge fresh from the cinema (and, in Nick's case with a badge and some free socks) to chat about the latest MCU film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and we'll be asking the big question:- who enjoyed it and who didn't? (We start off spoiler-free but it does get spoilery around the half hour. mark...) Tune in to the first part of this Spidey two-parter and come back next wee...

It's the second part of Colin and Nick's look at the wonderful(?) world of 90s X-Force when everyone had guns and muscles and even the guns had muscles too (with smaller guns on them). They'll be asking the important questions like:- just exactly how does Gideon's hair work? How easy is it to create their own version of X-Force with classic characters like Rockhead and The Stoat? And how many atte...

On this week's episode, Colin and Nick are back into the world of X-Men '97 as they're both loving Season 2 which means it's time to take a look at (yeesh) X-Force and ask the important questions:- can Rob Liefeld draw feet? Who thought a man that shoots his hands was going to be the next big thing? And why can't X-Force be cxool like in the cartoon all the time Issues Read 271. X-Force  X-Fo...

Colin and Nick are back with more chat about the main man Lobo including a look at the weirdly blandified New 52 version and his daughter Crush. They'll also be adding to the A-Bomb To zzzax Marvel character list with a look at some of Marvel's weirdest cosmic types and asking the questions:- do we need an alternate universe Hulk version of Mister Fantastic? Why are they still trying to make the p...

Feetal's Gizz! Join Colin and Nick as they take a look at everyone's favourite bastich, the Main Man himself Lobo (as appearing in the recently released Supergirl). They'll ask the important questions of the day like which 2000AD character does he remind them of, why does a genocidal maniac have a strict code of honour and just what is the link between cult 1960s TV show The Prisoner and Nick's re...

It's the second part of our dive into the world of Supergirl and, this week Colin and Nick take a look at the comic that's the inspiration behind the film, Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow as well as chatting about the nearest Marvel equivalents (sort of) to Supergirl:- Cammi, America Chavez and Darkstar. They'll be asking the important questions like why is Marvel so obsessed with just "dark" as a po...

It's part one of a two spectacular as Colin and Nick dive into the world of the many (and slightly confusing) versions of Supergirl in honour of the new film being released. Why is one of them a ball of pink protoplasm? Is it icky that she starts dating a parallel universe version of her "father"? And who has enough lead to coat an asteroid knocking around in their shed? As well as the superchat,...

Colin and Nick are back once again with the nerd behaviour to chat about season 1 of Daredevil: Born Again (but only because Nick hasn't watched season 2 yet) and take a look at some of his weirdest villains. What is Gladiator's business model? Why does Mister Fear want to bring waxworks to life? And has no one thought of pushing both of Stilt Man's legs at the same time to make him fall over...

Join Colin Hoult and Nick Kirk as they take a deep dive into the villains of Spider-Noir - we're talking Black Cat, Electro, Sandman, Molten Man and Silvermane - and tackle the important questions:- is that Black Cat's real hair? BOOMERANG, SCORPION, TARANTULA, TOMBSTONE We've got an incoming MCU film on the horizon so Colin and Nick are taking a look at the villains of SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY and asking the important questions:- what is Scorpion's tail supposed to be? Why does Boomerang's original suit not have any boomerangs on it? And is Tarantula's power just having really really pointy shoes? (NB - We'll be taking a...

BATROC, WHIRLWIND, LIVING LASER, ZARAN, MACHETE Bonjour, mes amis! Join your jovial hosts Colin and Nick as they take a look at one of the few Marvel characters who has his own brigade - yes, it's the probably racially-insensitively named Batroc The Leaper (a man skilled in the noble French art of feet boxing). Who are the rest of his brigade? Are they supervillains to be taken seriously? And are...

It's a slightly different episode this week as Nick goes solo to take a little sidestep away from the list to look at the Transformers and ask the question we've all been asking:- are the Transformers part of the Marvel universe? (Normal list-based service will resume next week...) THIS EPISODE WENT OUT UNDER OUR FORMER NAME OF ABOMB TO ZZZAX - PLEASE IGNORE ANY WAYS TO CONTACT US AS MENTIONED IN...

BATTERING RAM, ANARCHIST, ORPHAN, BLOKE, DOOP, DEAD GIRL, U GO GIRL, LA NUIT, VIVISECTOR, VENUS DEE MILO It's a frankly ridiculous number of marvellously media-savvy (if mortally-challenged) mutants this week as Colin and Nick take a look at X-Statix. Who were the X-Statix? Did anyone make it through the revolving door of death? Was Princess Diana really on the team? And what is Doop saying? Some...

Colin and Nick are back to answer that age old question:- "How many Buckys is too many Buckys?" as they take a look at the inexplicably high number of people who have decided to take on the mantle of child sidekick. We're talking Nomad (Jack Monroe), Nomad (Rikki Barnes), Battlestar (surprisingly not Nomad) and Sharon Carter (sister-niece of Peggy). Reckless endangerment ahoy! 250. Battlestar&nbsp...

WONDER MAN, GRIM REAPER, DOORMAN Look, up in the sky... oh no, hang on, that's someone else. Join Colin and Nick as they take a look at a hero neither of them has paid much attention to before, Simon Williams AKA Wonder Man as they ask the question:- is it worth bothering with the comics or should you just watch the excellent series instead (what do you mean, "leading question"?) Also they take a...

Bastion, Sentinels, Master Mold, Bolivar Trask Look out, the machines are taking over! In what feels like a very timely episode, Colin and Nick take a look at the man-made machines menacing the mutants of the Marvel universe (yeah, maybe all this Stan and Jack has been rubbing off on us, alliteratively speaking). Are the Sentinels a terrifying look at the future of robotics or another 60s misunder...

Bart Rozum, Wrecker, Thunderball, Piledriver, Bulldozer Let's get wrecked! This week, Colin and Nick are taking a look at Damage Control and the Wrecking Crew as next on the list is Bart Rozum (no, us neither). It's thumping, smashing, head-butting frenzy of destruction (and mildly incompetent clean-up) Issues Read:- Bart Rozum & Damage Control (group)  Damage Control #1 (Sept 1989) Wreck...

KRAVEN THE HUNTER, CALYPSO, RHINO, CHAMELEON Colin and Nick are joined by returning and (hopefully) recurring pal James O'Donoghue to take a look at Spidey's animal-tracking foe, Kraven The Hunter. It's also a chance to (mercifully) finish off our look at the SPUMC movies with a bit of chat about Kraven's inexplicable movie. Plus, given that they also feature in the film, we'll dive into Rhino, Ch...

SUPER SKRULL! TALOS! PAIBOK! LYJA! BARONESS S'BAK? XAVIN Colin and Nick (or are they?) discover those shape shifting swines the Skrulls! Are they all bad? How much of a perv is Paibok?
