December has been very healthy in terms of releases as we’ve seen releases from Kaleem Taylor, SZA, Che Ecru, Little Simz and Headie One. We finally got round to listening to Metro Boomin’s “Heroes & Villains” as well as Jammz’ “Pink Lemonade”. Plenty more covered so we hope you enjoy!.

Episode 38 - This Is What I Meant 27.12.2022

After a 3 year hiatus Stormzy has returned with “This Is What I Mean” and as expected we covered it thoroughly. Goya Gumbanii & Kiina have linked up again to give us “Face In The Storm” and we also saw releases from Yung Fume and Sam Wills.

Episode 37 - A Few Gripes 12.12.2022

It seems as though someone has a gripe or two…or three to get off his chest this week. This week we saw offerings from Jaz Karis, Busta Rhymes, Manga Saint Hilare, CLBRKS, Giggs, Roddy Rich, Brockhampton, Ray Vaughn & Baby Rose.

Episode 36 - "Ohhh Kendrick Lamar" 03.12.2022

With drops from Nas/HitBoy, Roddy Rich, SZA and Rihanna....It's needless to say that this week was busy week in terms of music and as per we're here to talk about it. Lately we've been revisiting some of our favourite albums over the last decade which we discussed and Rebel recaps his time at "The Big Steppers" tour put on by none other than Kendrick Lamar, Baby Keem and Tanna Leone.

Episode 35 - Back To The Music 23.11.2022

With the change in how music is accessed and/or consumed it raised a discussion the relevance of the radio today and our relationship with it then and now. This week we got into new releases from Suspect, NBA Youngboy, Loyle Carner, Babyface, Sonder, Youngs Teflon & Smino.

Episode 34 - Contraire Mon Frère ft Mush (How Many Mics) 17.11.2022

This episode was one we had planned for some time as we had the man himself…Mush (How Many Mics) as our special guest. As promised we revisited the “Dream collaborations” topic we started on the previous episode. Lil Baby’s “It’s Only Me” was also back on the docket which lead to a debate of sorts surrounding what the motivations are of most artists in this era. Due to the environment we recorded...

Episode 33 - Said I Was Dreaming 02.11.2022

We’re back again this week covering releases from DDG, K Trap, Vybz Kartel, YG, Tory Lanez, DVSN & Jagged Edge. As music lovers I’m sure most have at least two artists they’d love to work together and we started our discussion on our dream collabs. To be continued in later episodes

Episode 32 - Reoccurring Problem 17.10.2022

The "Problem" has returned!. For those of you who may be unaware of who or what we're talking about...It's Stormzy. Big Mike is done with the humble bragging and delivered a song/music video that will likely be talked about for years to come with "Mel Made Me Do It". We did get into our take on Stormzy's last two albums but also covered the new album from Symba "Results Take Time". We also saw mus...

Episode 31 - Straight Up! 05.10.2022

As agreed last episode we got into ranking Travis $cott albums from 1 to 3 and why which was good fun. That aside, we talked new music from Larry June, Adam Blackstone & Jazmine Sullivan, Black Soprano Family, Smoke DZA & Curren$y and Ramz.

Episode 30 - Take Two 30.09.2022

This week we saw Ari Lennox return with her highly anticipated album "Age/Sex/Location" which we got into along with releases from Grafh, Knucks and Bryson Tiller. While it was a bit of a quieter week for new music we did discover music from Laya, Quentin Miller and his group Wdng Crshrs. The topic of Travis Scott's catalogue came up so which sparked a conversation that will spill into next week's...

Episode 29 - Amapiano To The Rescue 25.09.2022

While we covered a lot of new releases we're now simply highlighting any music that is new to us regardless of when it was released as ultimately that's what this podcast is all about...Music. We were both considerably late to the sound that is Amapiano and have way more of it to discover but this week the genre was Rebel's go to for reasons we will not disclose. We saw new music from Giggs, Ray V...

Episode 28 - Masked Before Corona 15.09.2022

This week's episode was a little longer than usual due to two big albums dropping. Those being DJ Khaled's "God Did" and JID's "The Forever Story". We finally got round to covering Fee Gonzles' "Just Having Fun" project as well as releases from Tiny Boost, Headie One, Turner, BNXN, Young Adz and Vory. Rebel also ventured back to the 90s with Donald Byrd's "Blue Break Beats" album.

Episode 27 - Cheat Codes 09.09.2022

With the release of Tink's "Pillow Talk" it sparked a discussion surrounding the state of R&B today following on from Diddy's recent statement. We also got releases from WSTRN, Che Ecru, Sango, $not, Moneybagg Yo, Tendy Hendrix and Internet Money.

Episode 26 - Backtracking 30.08.2022

While we had some new releases from The Game's "Drillmatic: Heart vs Mind" and Dangermouse & Black Thought's "Cheat Codes", we both seemingly spent the week revisiting projects of the past. We also got round to some albums we missed from earlier in the year such as "Love Damini" from Burna Boy.

Episode 25 - Spleen Brothers 20.08.2022

This week was relatively slow in terms of big releases (well at least in our opinion) but we got into releases from Doechii, NBA YoungBoy, Kali Uchis, PJ Morton, Splash Brothers, Reason, IAMNOBODI and Skeng. Enjoy

Episode 24 - State Of The Wave 14.08.2022

There was no way we could record this week's episode without covering The Queen B's return with "Renaissance". Although we were a little late with these two we got into M Huncho's "Chasing Euphoria" and Nafe Smallz "Legacy" which lead us down a path of discussing Wave music in the UK currently.

Episode 23 - I Said No 08.08.2022

We finally got blessed with the Devil Mix for Cammy Riddim from Blay Vision this week so expect Rebel to get into that on this episode. One of our long time favourites Joey Bada$$ dropped his highly anticipated "2000" album which we dived into. We also got releases from Lloyd Banks, A2, DVSN, and the CMG collective.

Episode 22 - Episode 2022 07.08.2022

After close to two months away from the pod, we're back with a lot to cover as we're sure you can imagine. A lot has happened and a lot of music has dropped in our unplanned hiatus so typically we'd brief you on what music was covered in this episode but it was quite a long one so make sure you listen from start to finish. We missed you and hope the feeling is mutual.

Episode 21 - Same Difference 29.07.2022

We found ourselves almost repeating the same sentiment in review of the some of the projects we covered on this week's episode. We had releases from Jack Harlow, Knucks, Ella Mai, Kehlani, Raheem Devaughn and Future. Bia recruited J.Cole for the brilliantly shot "London" song/music video and we had to give an honourable mention to Unknown T.

Episode 20 - Full Circle 30.04.2022

This week was undoubtedly Pusha T's week. Well for us anyway. For reasons neither of us care to go into, the timing of this release was interesting to say the least. We spent most of the last week taking in "It's Almost Dry" however we still got into releases from Bas, Gotti Major, Blxst, Vince Staples, Coi Leray, 42 Dugg & Est Gee. Kendrick Lemar announced his upcoming album 'Mr. Morale &...

Episode 19 - Who Will It Be 15.04.2022

With the release of Dreamville’s “D-Day” mixtape it has caused Rebel to reconsider where he has them ranked it in the top Hip-Hop collectives/labels of our time. As expected there was a fair share of good music we came across from the likes of Knucks, Pusha T, Skillibeng, Mnelia, Chris Brown, Ella Mai plus more. Rebel had the pleasure of recently attending the concert of none other than the unicor...

Episode 18 - Sounds Deh Bout 09.04.2022

"Chords & Chorus'" are about to get much more entertaining now that Rebel has added sound effects to the soundboard and will be adding new ones as time goes on. Plenty of laughs like little children at this new development but with that said it was definitely called for with some of the releases discussed this week. Despite the 3 million and one music releases per week we're still seemingly ma...

Episode 17 - Fix Or Facts 01.04.2022

It's starting to feel like we've been drowning in new music. There was so much to get through this week and felt like we spent most of the episode jumping from one release to another in record timing. Despite the overwhelming feeling of trying to get round to all the music we wanted to, there was so much good drops. We had new joints from Ard Adz, Knucks, Lancey Foux, Lucky Daye, Benny The Butcher...

Episode 16 - Conflicted 25.03.2022

Another week of running through a bunch of releases. It would seem as though we've really got back into the swing hunting for new music and more importantly acts we've never heard of before. This week was quite busy in the Grime scene with corn flying left, right and centre. We got war dubs from Cadell, PK, Reece West & Subten, Aye Nizzy, Renz, K9 and a few others which for Rebel was the highl...

Episode 15 - In & Out 18.03.2022

This episode was quite a quick one hence the episode's title. We covered releases from Conway The Machine, Dappy, Ego Ella May, Rexx Life Rajj, Che Ecru, Dave, Digga D plus many more. We thoroughly enjoyed a lot of the music that dropped this week and hope you all did too along with this episode.
