A Minute With Coach Riggs

Coach Riggs has as his guest former T.R. Miller Tiger player and coach Juan Johnson, the highly successful offensive coordinator at Hewitt Trussville High School.

Coach Riggs talks about the history of the 'Hail Mary" pass and discusses the October 7, 2010 TRM game vs Washington County with then Miller quarterback Wil Riggs.  The Tigers completed the hail mary pass and went for 2 points to beat the Bulldogs 36-35.

T.R. Miller has never had a football banquet quite like the December 5, 1941 affair. The Friday night event honored Miller's first undefeated team at a locally historic venue and had a famous guest speaker of the time. Less than two days later, none of their lives would ever be the same again.

In Episode #6, Coach Riggs takes a look at how high school football has changed over the last decade or so.  He discusses the good and the bad from a coaching perspective, from streaming games online to the difference in parents to how technology has changed how the game is coached..

While attending a concert in Nashville, Coach Riggs was reminded of what his world was like in Brewton in 1972, playing some high school football and driving town in his 1965 Chevy Bel Air.
