Welcome to episode four where we did things a little differently. Afia, Prisha, and Xavier went out into the bus interchanges of Werribee, Newport, Footscray, and Sunshine to chat to fellow Westies about their experiences using the current bus network.  We are extremely grateful to the many Westies we spoke to for this episode.  LINKS to things we’ve mentioned throughout the episode: 🚌 Recording...

Welcome to episode three! This episode is all about the young people in Melbourne's west and their experiences with public transport. Afia, Prisha, and Simon are joined by two special guests: Sarah, a young person and fellow Sustainable Cities collective member who is based in the west, and Philippa, a mum of two young people who recently joined our campaign.

This episode covers the importance of community outreach, looks back at the recent transport rally at Parliament, and recaps our Better Buses Trivia event, where supporters came together to test their transport knowledge, connect with the campaign, and have some fun! Tune in to hear how Better Buses is helping build momentum for better and more reliable public transport.

In our first episode, Prisha, Xavier and Afia introduce Sustainable Cities and share why they became involved in the movement. Together, they discuss our mission, the Better Buses campaign, and why improving public transport in Melbourne’s west is essential for creating more connected, accessible and sustainable communities.
