This week the idea was to create something deeply connected to my Portuguese roots, while exploring a completely different sonic landscape. I wanted the Portuguese voice and the traditional sound of the Portuguese guitar to carry a sense of identity and emotion, but without being trapped in the past. The challenge was to bring those familiar textures into a modern, atmospheric trip-hop production,...

She had legs for days, they started at her feet, and went all the way up to her hips, and she was sporting an electric guitar. Said she had a job for me. Got my crew together and made short work of it. - Laetien 2026 CC Attribution Noncommercial Share Alike (BY-NC-SA)

Let's do some more SpeedWhistle. Although considering my approach to metal, it has been thought that the more appropriate name might be DoomWhistle. Picture from the Ring o' Brogar in the Orkney Islands. This stone circle is from about 2500 BCE. This week's track took me around in circles. I wanted to do another Spooky Season song, and was thinking of a song we did in my old Celtic...

No MIDI this week, just a microphone. Really shows my lack of rhythm or I guess my abundance of humanization! 2026 Copyright All rights reserved

Really proud of my vocals in this one! Ran out of time to do some more timing refinement, but overall very happy with it! CC ALWAYS encouraged! Fun fact - every sound is my voice with stock plugins! › LYRICS‹ LYRICS I need a little more time your the only one who can see me alone alone I need a little bit of touch touch I always knew I wasn't meant to be alone we can be together f...

I got into Cumbia music via the Mundial de las Tecladistas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRRc4_Jr2Po The cheesy synths and battle format hooked me, I wanted to pay homage to it after fervently downloading Cumbia samples like Busy Boy, trumpets, and others. Tried in the middle to pay homage to that synth hook I hear all the time in latino music. Then I added some extra 808 Basss and other beats...

Originally I started off wanting do a bare-mininum 1 minute loop to keep the streak going, as I wasn't really motivated, but somehow ended up doing a 5 minute Deep House track. Funny how things turn out sometimes :D 2026 Copyright All rights reserved

So I managed to get my first FB jail visit xD This was a last minute little 90s breakbeat idea inspired by the digital what you can and cannot say police. 2026 CC Attribution Noncommercial No Derivative Works (BY-NC-ND)

This week I worked on a Java piano roll tool that gives access to pitch bending ornaments. Plus the columns can highlight what belongs to the assigned chord in a specified area, which I always felt like DAWs are lacking for the purposes of chord progressions. Still a work in progress but I tried it out here. The enforced chord progression here is 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 1 in regular D Major but the ornament...

another drone.  boy am I sick of drones.  I do have a full song for next week prepped.  just need some more time to tweak and finish it.  so yeah, fill your boots with drones. 2026 CC Attribution Noncommercial No Derivative Works (BY-NC-ND)

Made this in the same cubase projects as two tracks from the last month, using the same VSTs and bus effects to get results fast. Kinda goofy and barebone, it think it drags for a bit too long, but I like it! 2026 Copyright All rights reserved

Next to our feeder, an Anna's Hummingbird flew into our exterior wall so hard it was knocked completely unconscious.  Shielding our 6 year old from the trauma of seeing what we thought was a dead bird, we got him into a different room away from the balcony.  I got gloves on and was getting ready to remove her from the balcony and give her a quiet burial, but I saw she had moved slig...

Hi! Jam week end, with the Resample session on Friday (one chosen song from a vinyl, one hour to make a track from the record samples, and your gear) where I made this track with the M8. And I went to a protest on Saturday in my town in France – it was incredible, full of lovely, determined people, despite the clashes with the police. And a game jam when I had the time during the whole time lol. I...

Warning - 4 minutes of droning ambience! -- I think this is the second ambient song like this I have made. I have been wanting to make more since I meditate and nap to sounds like this multiple times a week. Inspired by the prompt for this week's Disquiet Junto project: - The Assignment: Tend to your music like Brian Eno might. - Brian Eno has said: “my feeling is that making art can be more...

Real quick one this week - very repetitive, but it's something... pun not intended. 100% the mix is clipped. it is what it is. no time to fix it really - just want to keep the streak up! Like some of the ideas here. using DAEAAE tuning again to break out of some Open C ruts i have found myself in. Cheeky little guitar solo too - its been a while since I've put one in a song! Anyways, her...
