This week's sermon highlights what makes Jesus different by examining His unique position as the appointed heir of all things and the Creator through whom the world was made. This understanding deepens our appreciation on why Jesus is different and better than anything or anyone else. Therefore, we must recognize His unique authority and respond with faith and devotion to His message.

God calls the next generation to be his messenger even if the world is against God. Someone is never too young to speak God's message.

Our Heavenly Father protects, provides and is ever present. As we look at these attributes, may we lead our people to fully trust in Him. As we experience His love, we are able to reflect and share it to others as well.

God's mission has always drawn people's attention, but He involves human voices. to proclaim His Word to offer salvation to all.

God's mission has always started with Him, and it has always been to redeem all nations.

We are filled with hope through the gospel, unity, and the power of the Holy Spirit. As a church community, we are called to reflect God's faithfulness and be beacons of hope to the nations ("nations" in Greek: Gentiles = ethnos).

Genuine hope manifests itself in how w e love and serve others, even in difficult circumstances.

We endure life's hard realities, and we are certain in the midst of the world's volatile and uncertain state because our hope is anchored on an eternal perspective (not just a politician's term).

Our hope is not just for good times but especially for times of suffering. Hope is solidified a s we persevere in tough times in the hope of the glory of God, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Abraham, against all hope, was fully convinced that God is faithful and able to fulfill His promises. God's unwavering faithfulness contrasts the fleeting promises of the world. While the world's promises— whether from political leaders, the economy, or social structures-are temporary, God's character and ability to fulfill His word stand secure. He was buried, and on the third day rose from the dead, securing our redemption forever. Having triumphed over Satan and the forces of darkness, He ascended into heaven as Lord of all. Everyone who repents and believes in him receives forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

We believe the gospel is the good news that God became man in Jesus Christ to reconcile people to Himself. He lived a perfect, sinless life on our behalf and died on the cross for our sins.

Jesus teaches the disciples that the spiritual discipline of fasting can become a vain tool if it is focused on getting people’s attention and making an impression. Instead, He emphasized the value of fasting and instructed His followers how fasting should be carried out properly. Reference: Matthew 9:14–17; Isaiah 58

Jesus exempli!ed a life of prayer, and the disciples often witnessed Him praying during their time together. In the Sermon on the Mount, He taught both the heart and the pattern behind prayer.

Jesus warned of performing good deeds for outward appearances. He not only taught about the right motivation for generosity, but also provided instructions on how to be generous in a righteous manner.

Being a disciple of Christ entails persecution, which may even lead to death. This separates those who are servants of the Lord from those who are of the world.

Being a disciple involves denying ourselves, taking up our cross daily, and following Jesus. This separates the disciples from the crowd.

Being a disciple of Jesus involves choosing the difficult and narrow way, which leads to fruitfulness and a life of obedience to God. This separates those who are being led to destruction from those who are being led to life.

To love God and t o love others are inseparable commands. Loving others is a tangible expression of our love for God. One of the ways we can express His love t o others is through our hospitality and being His hands and feet to those around us.

Love is a command in the Bible, and the standard in which we are to love is the way God loves us. Knowing His perfect love naturally results in a deeper relationship with Him. As His love removes all fears and secures us, we will be able to speak, listen, and act in our relationships through the lens of love. ( Reference: 2 John 1:5-6 )

God's fundamental nature is love, and His perfect love was displayed in Jesus' atoning sacrifice on the cross. As our knowledge and understanding of His love grow deeper, the more we are transformed and able to know how to love others.

Mary Magdalene was the first to testify to Christ's resurrection.

He was an unbelieving Gentile, but he testified that Jesus must be the Son of God

They followed when the benefits were flowing but abandoned Christ when they saw the cost.

He came at night because he was curious, but it was the revelation of t h e cross that converted him.
