Uncharted Space

Our Season 1 ends with a blast from the past, in the form of the 2014 time travel flick, X-Men: Days of Future Past. We'll take a deepish dive into the world of comic book movies, while dancing around the implied question: "is Josh having never read a single comic book an even greater geek-cred scarlet letter than Craig having never watched Deep Space Nine?"

This week we're testing the limits of what we can call sci-fi with the 1986 Connery classic, Highlander, but apparently a sequel retcons that the Highlanders are aliens (?) so we're probably good. Also, this movie *probably* isn't a prequel to The Rock, but we still spend a significant chunk of the episode talking about it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Craig can't resist a subversive, crude, anti-superhero story, which means the 2009 U.K. sci-fi dramedy series Misfits is right up his alley. Josh does his best to go off on every tangent possible, but to no avail; the appeal of Misfits is undeniable.
