The Good Dumb Fun Show

Spooktober may be over, but apparently we’re not done talking about weird stuff just yet. We are back for a slightly rusty, occasionally cursed episode of The Good Dumb Fun Show. We kick things off with listener feedback on our haunted movie theater story, revisit some of our favorite moments from Spooktober, and get into one of the biggest Bigfoot debates out there: Is the famous Patterson–Gimlin...

Spooktober is coming to a close, but we're going out with missing persons mysteries, Bigfoot sightings, and the possibility that something strange might be lurking a little closer to home than we'd like.  We kick things off with a follow-up to last week's listener submissions, including the truth behind the story that had us convinced we were dealing with a real-life paranormal mystery...

It’s time for Spooktober pt. 3, and this time, the stories come from real people who’ve experienced things they still can’t explain.  We are back with another round of creepy listener submissions, featuring a haunted movie theater, reports of giants, mysterious big cats, shadowy figures, and an unsettling (yet eerily familiar) story about a city terrorized by an unknown entity. Some of these stori...

Welcome back to Spooktober! In Part 2 of the second annual GDF Spooktober Spooktacular, we head into the Appalachian woods to talk about the legends, strange encounters, and things that make you reconsider going for a nice, peaceful hike. We’re talking the mysterious Brown Mountain Lights, Appalachian haints and bottle trees, the terrifying legend of Aunt Kate, the Not Deer, mimics, and the storie...

Spooktober is officially back! The Good Dumb Fun Show's second annual Spooktober Spooktacular kicks off with one simple question: Have you ever seen something you can't explain? We start with a bizarre story involving a late-night walk near a football field, a strange feeling that something was wrong, and a friend's dream that seemed to become real. From there, we get into Ouija boards...

We're back! After a couple of busy weeks, Josh and Patrick finally get together to catch up — and naturally, it doesn't take long before a normal conversation turns into something completely ridiculous. Josh tells Patrick all about taking the family to Disney World for the first time, including the parks, fireworks, rides, exhausted kids, and the things they learned that will definitely change how...

Are giants actually real? We have absolutely no idea — but that didn't stop us from going down one heck of a rabbit hole.  This episode started with a completely casual conversation about Bible lore, giants, and monsters before we got to the core topic, “the Giant of Kandahar”. From there, we dig into the alleged story of a 12–15 foot giant encountered by U.S. military forces in Afghanistan, t...

Do you guys like the intro? We spend some time catching up after Labor Day weekend and talking some college football. Nebraska survived Ohio, Alabama beat ECU, LSU absolutely handled Clemson, and we're still keeping a close eye on the chaos surrounding Lane Kiffin and the college football season. Then things get progressively more Good Dumb Fun. We imagine a water park where NOTHING is relaxin...

College football is BACK, so naturally we turned the Good Dumb Fun Show into a college football show for an episode. Micah and Matt are back, and Micah opens things up by apologizing for his previous “casual” takes before we dive headfirst into Week 1. We make our picks for LSU vs. Clemson, Colorado vs. Georgia Tech, Cincinnati vs. Boston College, UCLA vs. Cal, Wyoming vs. Colorado State, Notre Da...

This week on The Good Dumb Fun Show , we have absolutely no idea how we got here. We start with water heaters, home maintenance, and the hidden horrors lurking inside a 30-year-old tank before moving on to sleepless nights, getting sick, questionable home remedies, and Patrick’s disastrous first experience with sushi. Naturally, that leads us to the important question: how much wasabi is too much...

We're finally back after a week and a half apart, and apparently we had a lot to catch up on. In this episode of The Good Dumb Fun Show , Patrick returns from being sick with a story involving WebMD, a mysterious infection, and what we are officially calling "COVID of the butt," while Josh recaps a family beach trip, good seafood, and the joys of living somewhere that isn't compl...

RIP Patrick as we publish our last pre-recorded episode of The Good Dumb Fun Show! This week on The Good Dumb Fun Show, we're doing something we've never done before: Patrick created a D&D-style choose-your-own-adventure, and Josh has absolutely no idea what he's doing. Josh gets dropped into a strange fantasy world with no idea how he got there, and Patrick becomes the Dungeon Mas...

We look back at how the show started, what surprised us about podcasting, what was harder than expected, and the highs and lows of two friends talking into microphones. We’re...
