With thousands of tarot decks competing for your money, how do you know which one will actually work for you? Also, which one is merely gorgeous, expensive, and completely useless in a real reading? There is no magic inside a deck of cards. The magic is in you. Your cards are a visual language, and every image should act like a prompt that makes ideas, details, warnings, and useful advice come pou...

How do you give $300 readings instead of $20 ones? You have to know how to phrase the questions you ask “God” (your angels, spirit guides, the gods, the universe —however you want to address the divine). Imagine for a moment you had a telephone directly to the most intelligent minds in creation, omniscient and helpful: why would you say something as stupid as “just tell me anything,” or “win the l...

Here’s a problem we all face: What to actually do when you get a new deck. Whether it is a gift or you grabbed it off a shelf because you had to have it, or you ordered it online, all new decks are stiff and slippery, and refuse to cooperate. They have that “new car smell” factory stink on them. You have to get your psychic stank on them to mark them as your own. You have to imbue your cards with...

Special episode: This was surreptitiously recorded for students ready to do their own events or working with others. This is not a full course on how to get lots of paying clients. This is a primer, but it will reveal what really works and how to avoid losing money when you do (or host your own) events. Today we are talking about one of the most exciting moves you can make as a working tarot reade...

Today we're diving deep into one of the most powerful skills you will ever develop: tapping into your intuition and actually knowing when it's talking to you. We have discussed your intuition before, but these skills are so important I wanted to come at this from a fresh approach and give you steps to take right now, because a year from now time won't forgive you for not improving yourself. Your i...

Use this spread! Everyone falls in love. And everyone gets their heart broken. One of the most common questions you will be asked over and over is how your client can get the love they want. How can they find someone (they want) to worship them? How can they get in a relationship they want to be in? This is what people pay for — in matchmaking services, dating apps, an endless amounts of money on...

Most tarot readers think the hard part is getting hired. It’s not. The hard part is sitting there for two hours with your cards laid out watching people walk by and nobody asks you for a reading. Not only is that embarrassing *and* boring, but how can you possibly make any money that way? In today's session Dusty and Maggie break down what actually gets you hired at a metaphysical shop—and more im...

Hi! Today's tarot spread is a binary choice spread that gives you simple, clean, clear, ACCURATE answers instantly, but also goes deep into the "how's, and why's" of each option so that you can give your client really DETAILED and highly specific answers when they want to know whether they should "do this, or that." This spread is super-easy, but it won't do the work for you. You get three signifi...

Today we’re digging into one of the most important upgrades you can make as a tarot reader: what actually separates a $20 reading from a $100 session. It’s not about being more psychic or more dramatic — it’s about structure, clarity, and giving your client something they can actually use. In this episode, we break down what higher-value readings look like in practice. Whether you’re reading casua...

Today we're kicking off a new series called Spread of the Day — short, focused tarot lessons built around a single spread you can actually use. No fluff, no filler. Just the cards, the layout, and everything you need to walk away ready to read. This episode covers one of the most requested tarot readings out there: how does a specific person feel about you — or about a proposition you're putting o...

In today's episode, we take a practical look at the four “Three” cards in the tarot: Wands, Pentacles, Swords, and Cups, and we explore what they reveal when viewed through an astrological lens. As tarot cards are visual in nature, we look at what’s actually happening in each image, from posture to movement, color, weather, setting, and so on. From there, we connect each Three to its elemental nat...

Astrological Properties of the Twos in the Tarot What We're Covering: Moving Beyond Kindergarten-Level Tarot: Astrology isn't just for measuring people's personalities. It's a framework we can use to measure anything—including tarot cards. Each card has an inherent nature, and understanding whether it's mutable or fixed (not just what element it is) changes everything. Breaking Down the Four Twos:...

Dusty White here with Kerri for a quick 14-minute dive into something that's going to change how you look at the Aces in your deck. Here's the thing: all four Aces are cardinal. Every single one. And that matters more than you might think. What We're Covering: Why Cardinal Energy Changes Everything: Cardinal energy is compressed, explosive, immediate—like a match flaring up or an auto accident. It...

Short small spreads are all the rage these days.  While longer, more in-depth spreads are where you build your reputation, change lives, and help serious (repeat) clients solve real-world problems, no one has time for those now! Everyone wants to give short readings, even though you get your biggest tips from expertly executed in-depth sessions that produce real results. SHORT READINGS ARE MORE FU...

The eight of wands is easily one of the more confusing cards in the tarot. The visuals are simplistic: eight sticks are seemingly floating in air, and in the background is a small river and a house. The lack of people or determinable action gives this card something of a generic feel,, and as a result forces too many tarot readers to memorize keywords or key phrases in an attempt to make sense of...

The seven of wands shows us a young man standing on a hill that ends in a cliff, and what seem to be stick-wielding assailants are coming at him. He doesn’t have anywhere to go, as he has been backed into a corner. His only choice now is to stand and fight. The 7 of Wands shows us when we are forced into a position, or forced to make a choice. We are under pressure, or we are put upon by others. T...

The Six of Wands shows us a hero returning from some kind of victory — or this is celebrating his promotion or raise in status. No matter whether this is earned or if it is stolen valor, this card shows someone riding high in life. This is what it is like to be popular, in demand, and having people cheering you on.  This can be a moment in time, like when you receive your diploma at the graduation...

The 5 of Wands is a deceptively complex tarot card that deals with the intricacies of social hierarchies and how we all fit in with various groups, don't fit in with others, and what we can expect when we try to manage discordant affairs. While the base art is ridiculously simple, we can glean layers of information from this card by our understanding of sociology and comparing the positions and pl...

This card has a split focus, and it shows us three layers of activity. In the first layer we see that we are looking at a stage. The only thing real are the four sticks and the garland that is tied between the outer two of those.  While the outer two sticks create a frame, the inner two create a narrow gateway that allow one or two people to pass through at a time. This makes this a checkpoint or...
