The Drama Lab, originally founded as Australian Vietnamese Youth Media (AVYM) by Tony Le Nguyen in 1995, began at the Footscray Community Arts Centre in Melbourne, Australia. This social enterprise aimed to empower Vietnamese youth in Melbourne. Tony envisioned a space where both Vietnamese and non-Vietnamese youth could learn, share, create, and express themselves through mediums such as film, television, theatre, the Internet, and other creative platforms.
