The Better Dad

Growing up, caviar was the standard for wealth in the movies that I watched. If you ate caviar, you were in the 1%. Now, as a dad, I have discovered that the intentional pursuit of caviar for breakfast means more than just a rich man’s dish. Let’s feed our kids the best.

We are all busy. How busy is too busy? What do we truly value? How do we become more interruptible?

Whew. Been a minute. Buckle in for some king over due passion on the role of the father as TEACHER.

I’m all over the place, but being a dad needs a fresh perspective. There is value in struggle.

It’s time we start calling a spade a spade. We need to encourage and invite men back to their duties as fathers. Who all plays a role in that? Enjoy this episode of humor, hurt and life experiences from me as a humble learning father.

I’m kind of done with participation trophies for fatherhood. Can we just stop saying he’s a good dad because he does what a dad should do? No more of the bare minimum being the standard of operation. We need dads to step up, be bold, and to lead what being a good father looks like.
