The Aftermath

Dylan said it best, and I’ll start you off with this. “Bureaucracy was the real monster in this film.” Godzilla! This one was a long time coming, and I’m upset that we haven’t gotten to them sooner! This is our first official Godzilla episode and we started it off with the latest of the Toho series, Shin Godzilla. Trust me when I say, this will not be the last time we talk about our lizard guardia...

Finally, after many weeks we make good on a promise we made to you. The most anticipated episode of The Aftermath yet. Jumping Ship, or as it’s more commonly known between us, Horse Sense 2. We went in with low expectations, and they delivered yet again. Not quite as good as the first one though I must say. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

On this week’s episode we have a very special friend of ours join us. He is a long time friend of Dylan's, and has just come back from Germany! Even though I’ve only known him for a short time he has been a really great addition to the friend group. I am proud to introduce you to the man, myth, and occasional legend, Dakota! I have one question, why the corn field right? Where were the cows? You called this an alien movie?! Anyways, this week we watched our first M. Night Shyamalan film, but this one had no twist unfortunately. It did leave the satisfaction of a man overcoming a crisis of faith and saving his family in the process. Our eyes have been opened to the horrors of The One Year War and it did not disappoint! Amidst winter storms, busy lives, and busted pipes, Dylan and I found some time to get together and tackle the three Gundam compilation films. We have finally continued Char’s story, but a bunch of side characters ended up hogging all the spotlight. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

So many memes, and for good reason too. This is our first Tarantino film for the podcast, and we found out what happens when you give Quentin Tarantino the director’s chair and an all star cast to work with. Samuel L. Jackson killed it again, hitting it out of the park with another great role. I can say with all honesty, all I want is to have that kind of clout. To just walk into someone’s house a...

This week on The Aftermath we watched our first Disney Channel Original Movie, or DCOM for short. This was the first time we’ve watched a movie that I’ve seen, but Dylan and Ethan haven’t, and boy were they surprised! Join us as we witness a city slicker simp find the true meaning of family and work ethic in this 1999 DCOM film called, Horse Sense. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Come, let me hear you lament. I was not ready for this movie, but to be honest I really don’t know what I was expecting from an 80’s barbarian movie. Join us as we discover the origin of the King of Warriors himself! As a chiseled Arnold encounters boobs, snake arrows, and animal abuse in this flick from a bygone era! Oh also, Dylan and I go on a bit tangent about Gundam at the end there. Our Link...

The movie we watched this week I’m actually not supposed to talk about, but it involves punching and Never Been Kissed or something like that. On a real note though, I did not know how wild Fight Club actually was. Definitely a movie worthy of a second viewing in my opinion! Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

This week we watched Hellboy (2004) and man, what a great movie it was! I loved so many things about it, but I won’t go into all of it here. Yet another awesome Guillermo del Toro film that the whole team enjoyed from start to finish. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Just a couple boys, talking about a couple of boys busting ghosts. Simple as that. Except for the fact that we got off topic and went down a weird rabbit hole. I’m going to apologize in advance for that. I wasn’t expecting to like this movie, but I actually really enjoyed it! Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

It’s a New Year, and we are brewing up some awesome stuff for you guys! Stay tuned in the coming months for projects and some new additions. We can’t wait to show you! Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! I’ve always heard that “Die Hard is a Christmas movie” but I’ve never seen it until now. I can say with all certainty that this is a correct statement, and I really enjoyed it! We all hope that you have fun this holiday season. Stay safe and we will see you in the New Year! Child trauma 101 is the name of the game this week, as we see a young boy go through some very tragic events. All that aside, Dylan has been wanting to do a Gundam special for a while. I asked him if we did it justice and he was pleased. As long as we can all agree that it’s a Christmas Gundam, right? Our Links: https://linktr.ee/ianwolffe Send us Fan Mail

This week on the podcast we watched Gladiator, and we all agreed on how amazing it was! Which is not always the case most times. It has been a long time since I have seen this movie, but I am so glad we did. I feel like there are so many great lessons you can get out of this movie, that I can’t even begin to tell you all of them! Our Links: https://linktr.ee/ianwolffe Send us Fan Mail

This week in The Crazy Goat Maze, we have three men struggling to understand the mind of a child. All while also being spoken to in Spanish. I hope you all at home are ready for another exciting episode of The Aftermath! *crowds cheer* Our Links: https://linktr.ee/ianwolffe Send us Fan Mail

Another journey into space, and where do we find ourselves this week? In Starship Troopers, a 90’s space action movie that is chopped full of gore. Heh, see what I did there? Also from all of us here, we all wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! We all deserve a little extra happiness this year, so enjoy yourselves! Our Links: https://linktr.ee/ianwolffe Send us Fan Mail

Things didn’t go according to plan this week. Basically we lost two episodes and this is Dylan and I apologizing and talking about getting excited about Thanksgiving. Sorry lol. Our Links: https://linktr.ee/ianwolffe Send us Fan Mail

Hooah! I am a little ashamed to say that this is my first Al Pacino movie, but as Dylan has assured me this is among one of the great ones. After watching it I can say that I agree, and this will not be my last Al Pacino movie, trust me! It was quite a journey, but I enjoyed the ride. Once upon a time, there was an island, full of the most obnoxious people you have ever met in your life. One day , they experience a shark attack. This is their story. Oh yeah, and there’s a corrupt Mayor that I’m pretty sure is actively trying to kill off his guests, but who knows? Our Links: https://linktr.ee/ianwolffe Send us Fan Mail

Tensions were high in this episode, this movie hit me in a way I wasn’t expecting. I’ll admit I got a little heated in talking about my love for music, but in the end we all found this to be an enjoyable movie. Even if I have some things to say about it! Our Links: https://linktr.ee/ianwolffe Send us Fan Mail

It’s finally here! We watched all the Back to the Future movies, and boy what a journey that was. This is going to be a longer episode for us, to accommodate for all three movies. I was the only one out of the three of us that hadn’t watched all of the movies in their entirety. I see now how I was missing out, I really enjoyed these movies! If there is some other series or group of movies let us k...

Wow, this movie is nightmare fuel. As Ethan said “I’ve never been so disgusted and interested all at the same time.” and I will definitely agree with him. Dylan said that he didn’t trust dogs for a while, and had nightmares for weeks as a kid after he watched this. So if you do watch this prepare to have some trust issues for a little bit. Aliens, in my opinion I like this one more than the first in some ways. Not to discredit the first one though, it does a great job. I’ll have all of you know that Ethan actually really liked this one over the first one. Which in turn made Dylan very happy. Our Links: https://linktr.ee/ianwolffe Send us Fan Mail

Just like the beginning, the two boys are back at it again. Talking up a storm, and cracking jokes for just about an hour. As we say in the episode this past week has done a number on each one of us in a different way. We’ve tried to plan but to no avail. So instead we’ve come together just to sit down, relax and chat with you all for a little while. Thank you! Our Links: https://linktr.ee/ianwolf...
