Bungie is doing what!?Bungie's Destiny has spent years vaulting content that players paid for and loved — entire campaigns, raids, and destinations like the original Red War storyline and the Forsaken expansion's Tangled Shore — so bringing that old content back would be one of the most welcome moves the studio could make. A "Destiny Legacy" or "Vault Reopened" initiati...

As planned, Xbox started phase two of their layoffs, and this phase will include studio mergers. It will be a lot of mergers, but the merger everyone seems to be talking about is Activision taking over the Halo franchise. What does a Halo game look like under Activision? I guess we will find out soon enough.

PlayStation seems to be taking hit after hit of bad press. Just a few months ago, people were enraged about the removal of physical discs; now people are wondering what is going on with PlayStation and Kojima as they part ways. Kojima seems to have a vision for his new IP that PlayStation isn't willing to back. Check out the community discord: https://discord.gg/knJDbT6Support this podcast: ht...

Gamescom 2026 was the world's largest gaming event, held August 26–30 at the Koelnmesse fairgrounds in Cologne, Germany. It drew a large number of people from around the globe. A great lineup of games across various genres were shown at the event, and we discussed some of the ones we were excited about.

Grand Theft Auto 6 has been leaked, but we doubt anyone cares. Now what was supposed to be one of the gaming industry's biggest breaches now seems like an elaborate Rockstar promo.

Twitch has quietly started using its users' content to help train Amazon AI models. While there is an option to opt out of this, Twitch doesn't really explain how to do it. DO THE SCIENCE AND PROTECT YOURSELF. OPT OUT OF THIS NOW!

As we get closer to the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, people in the gaming community have started to ask where the GTA 6 promo is. Besides the preorder madness, we haven't really heard or seen anything else about the game. While people are anticipating another trailer, Rockstar had other plans. Instead of a trailer, we are getting a Netflix "Extended Look" premiering August 27th.

Gears of War E-Day is a prequel to the Gears of War series that follows a young Marcus Fenix as he struggles to adapt to normal life after the Pedulum War. After only a few weeks of peace, another threat emerges from the underground. For those of you who are familiar with the story, you know what happens next. Everyone here at Super Weapon loves the Gears of War franchise, and we can't wait to...

People within Microsoft Xbox Studios seem to feel some way about Game Pass. While some developers said Game Pass saved their studios, others worry about the long-term effects on direct sales. For years, Super Weapon has been trying to figure out the exact payment structure behind Game Pass, but to no avail. The only info we have is from developer interviews and industry reports. Oh, and let's...

Listen we needed a break from the layoff doom and gloom, so we decided to talk to our chat about any and everything. It was a big fat Yap session for episode 276, and honestly I wouldn't blame you if you skipped it LOL.

In the midst of Xbox layoffs, Sony decided that they will no longer sell physical copies of its games. It's almost like they did this on purpose, thinking that gamers would be distracted by the Xbox layoffs that we wouldn'tm notice their tomfoolery!

It's finally happening, Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders are here! During the preorders, fans will have the option between the standard edition and the ultimate edition, which is loaded with items you will never receive if you purchase the standard edition. Sounds a little shady to me, Rockstar Studios, but let's talk about it! Which version will you be buying or have already bought? Leave it in the...

After such a great games showcase, unfortunately, Xbox once again is hit with some heavy setbacks. Financial and strategic pressure has led Xbox down the path of a major corporate reset. This could mean more layoffs as Xbox looks to reduce its labor force in the near future.

WE GOT GAMES BABY!!!!!! After getting hit with multiple showcases, we decided to talk about more games we are excited for! There is no better time than now to be a gamer. The end of 2026 seems to be really crowded with great releases, so what are you looking forward to playing?

Xbox has a lot of work to do if they want to turn things around, and with this showcase, it seems like it's headed in the right direction. Asha seems to be committed to bringing exclusives back to Xbox once the business is healthy. Gears of War E-Day was shown at the showcase, and afterwards, we got an even further look behind the scenes with its own Gears of War direct showcase. This was a ve...

It's the summer of showcases, and PlayStation jumps right in with two of its strongest offerings. Sony started off showing one of the most anticipated games of the year, Wolverine! The game looked amazing, but that was just the beginning of a spectacular show because we also got a peek at the next God of War!

After a decade and some change, Bungie is finally pulling the plug on the Destiny IP. Probably one of the few Live Service games that actually did it right. Destiny has given us a decade of content that has had us coming back to the game faithfully with every new release. This isn't to say that everything was all peaches and cream; some content didn't go as well as others, but still, Desti...

The new Resident Evil movie trailer is out, and the tone seems to be a lot scarier this go around. The last few Resident Evil movies leaned more toward the action, but this one seems to focus on the horror. Some folks aren't really sure how to feel about the trailer, but we think this might be the direction the franchise needs to go.

We are back after taking a little break for some good family news! We have been watching the new CEO, Asha Sharma, very closely as she begins to rebrand the Xbox into what she thinks it should be, and with one of Xbox's flagship titles, Gears of War, releasing this year, we are hyped to see how Asha approaches this. It's a lot riding on Marcus Fenix's shoulders, but if anyone can handl...

Just when we thought it was over, the unthinkable happened again! The price of the PlayStation 5 Pro has gone up, and gamers are not happy about it. Is it because of the chip shortage, or corporate greed? Maybe it's a little bit of both, either way, this is a tough pill for gamers to swallow.

What do you do when you do everything right, but it's still not enough? Battlefield 6 had everything going for it. Good beta testing built up hype, while curiosity from Call of Duty-fatigued fans showed interest in the game, only to abandon it months later. So what happened?

PlayStation and Xbox have both been shaking up the news cycle lately with moves geared toward their next consoles. As expected, PlayStation is reconsidering where its exclusive titles will live, while Xbox is floating around the idea of making the ultimate gaming PC.

This episode is basically part two of the last episode. The Xbox drama was just too much to try to cram into one episode. Now that Phil and Sara are gone, we are slowly getting more details about what was happening behind the scenes.

This week ended with a surprise no one expected: Phil Spencer announced his early retirement, and Sara Bond stepped down! Now that Asha Sharma, the lead of Microsoft AI division, is taking over, some wonder if the future of the Xbox will be heavily AI-influenced.

PlayStation showed off its lineup for 2026 and beyond. There are plenty of games releasing throughout the year to keep most PlayStation fans satisfied, so what games were you excited to see?
