Spoil Me

Thank you very much to Natalia for commissioning this episode! So this episode centers mostly around Jane trying to lose her virginity...or at least her trying to PRETEND she's trying to lose her virginity. But unsurprisingly, she's held onto this mental image of what her first time would be like for so long, and she's BELIEVED in waiting for so long, that letting go of it all is not as easy as sh...

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! So here comes a really fun one, and I have to say that watching this show is really making me want to check out some of the movies in the genres they're spoofing. Ulysses is over here living this whole dramatic AF nomadic life after getting rejected by the (married) woman he loves, and it makes a lot of sense that Feng walked out of the re...

Thank you very much to Natalia for commissioning this episode!  So this episode is the one where Jane is having trouble dealing with her attraction with her advisor, and she's trying very hard to close the door behind her on that when she gets an unexpected green light. I'm so glad that we're going to explore this a little because the chemistry is REAL between them. Also really sorry for calling R...

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! So this episode was....well, it was probably a contract requirement for Tiffany Haddish. But god there was so little about this that felt actually interesting to me, and I'm looking forward to getting back to the main mystery in the next episode. Thank you so much for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode! Wanna talk spoile...

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! This episode we get to see the POV of the sexy second banana to Edgar, and while I'm supposed to think that Sebastian is an American conning his way into things by sheer cheek and a British accent, I'm really not sure I buy his whole story. Especially considering that he's painting Edgar to look like a kind of mastermind and I just was not...

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! This is the episode where we find out that Grace was having an affair with Hannah, and it's all presented in the style of a Wes Anderson film. This was a really great POV that I think I will remember as one of the best of the series so far. Thanks so much to you all for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode!

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! I'm so glad that this show is willing to be so creative because man it's fun getting to see these different genres coming together, and I bet it's so much for for the actors to get to perform in wildly different styles. I really enjoyed that even though Travis fancies himself some sort of gumshoe, in the end he admits that while he may see...

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! It's time for the series finale and I'm pleasantly surprised at how well wrapped up it felt considering they weren't sure it was their last season. I feel like they were careful to give us enough satisfaction just in case, and I really left the series liking where everything left off for our characters. Things feel very hopeful for ev...

Thank you so much to Max for commissioning this episode! So this is the first of the new character POVs, and I'm really enjoying seeing a whole new genre being represented on the show. I can't really tell from Grace's perspective how serious she really was about Edgar because it seemed like she was into him but...still having some second thoughts. Thanks so much to you all for listening, and I wil...

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! This episode is the one where thankfully we pull back on some of the magical realism stuff with Eric and we focus a little bit more on some of the background issues that have been going on concerning the disabled characters and accessibility. I really dug this episode and I can't believe that I totally forgot to talk about Maeve and O...

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! It's time to start a new season of Apple's The Afterparty, and we're going into a whole new event at Zooey's sister's wedding! Surprisingly, the wedding goes off (with several hitches) and the murder isn't until afterward. I'm genuinely bummed about the victim because he seemed so sweet, but we will have to see if all was as it appeared. T...

Thank you very much to Natalia for commissioning this episode! In this episode, I'm so excited that it looks like Jane is starting to feel things for her professor, and YES GIRL. HE FOINE. Also, there's a whole thing with Rogelio's mother being a mess and him having to fire her, and it actually ends up serving Xo's cause even though she doesn't know it yet. Thanks so much for listening, and I will...

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! This is the episode where Maeve has to cobble together a funeral for a woman who had no friends and who alienated her children, and it actually goes better than expected in a lot of ways. But of course, Sean has to ruin it. Thank you so much for listening! Wanna talk spoilers? Join the Discord! https://discord.gg/rEF2KfZxfV

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! This was a really tough episode. Setting aside the sadness of Maeve's storyline and the loss of her mother, we have the obnoxious Joanna getting trashed and ruining a movie for everyone, while Viv's sketchy boyfriend once again totally overreacts to her friendship with Jackson. Meanwhile Jean is still not enjoying motherhood and Otis'...

Thank you very much to Natalia for commissioning this episode! In this episode, I find out who Mutter actually is, and it's not at all who I thought. Meanwhile Jane is struggling with sleep training Mateo, and is also struggling to connect with the class she's teaching. Rogelio is finding out a secret about his father that will change things, but it turns out it wasn't a secret to everyone. Thanks...

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! This episode is the one where Maeve goes home to find out that her mother has died 20 minutes before she got there, and I'm really needing her to have a win. Also, Sean is being a real shit and I'm pissed off at him, Otis is once again being thoughtless, and goddamn but Jean needs more help than her sister is giving. Plus we finally g...

Thank you so much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! This episode is the one where Ruby helps Otis put together his own campaign video and manages his campaign, and Maeve gets a weirdly intense negative review from her professor who I don't trust at all. Meanwhile, Eric goes to Queer Night with his friends and has an amazing time, and even though Otis is uninvited I can't help but get whe...

Thank you so much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! This is the episode where Otis decides to try and boost his reputation by helping Roman with his relationship with Abbi, and O retaliates by recording what I consider to be a pretty cringeworthy music video. Meanwhile, Eric is continuing to get close with the cool kids, and Maeve is feeling good about her writing future. Thank you all s...

Thank you so much to Dan for commissioning this ENTIRE DANG SERIES!

Thank you so much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! This season is starting out strong with Maeve in the United States and Otis getting very twitchy about how to do sexy-times long-distance. Which results in one of the more humiliating scenes in the history of this show, in front of all Otis's new classmates and a whole new school. Whew! Here we go! Thanks so much for listening, and I wi...

Thank you very much to Claire for commissioning this episode! This episode is the one where Jane finds out that what she thought was a real scholarship is actually Rogelio paying for her schooling...but only for one semester and not the full year. Meanwhile, she's working on her relationship to Rafael and as usual I'm very ambivalent about that. Thanks so much to you all for listening, and I will...

Thank you so much to Claire for commissioning this episode! The episode is the one where it is revealed that Michael wasn't actually fired, and that he was right to accuse Rafael of setting him up. Meanwhile, Rogelio is broke, and Jane is looking for a writing advisor. Thanks for listening, and I will see you soon! If you'd like to join our Discord and get in on some of the convo, check it out her...

Thank you very much to Claire for commissioning this episode! This episode is the one where Jane finally starts grad school....and it doesn't really go that well. Meanwhile, Petra is having twins and gets her mom out of prison, and we get some time jumps. Thanks for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode!

Thank you very much to Natalia for commissioning this episode! This is the episode with Britney Spears, with Michael decking Rafael in the face and getting fired, and with Britney Spears. Did I mention Britney is in this? Thanks for listening!

Thank you very much to Claire for commissioning this episode! In this episode, Jane unexpectedly decides that she's going with Michael as her number one choice, and if we're going to pretend that Rafael and Michael are the only two men left on earth, then sure.\ Thanks so much to you all for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode! If you'd like to join our Discord and get in on some...
