Judy Gittelsohn is an alumness from the San Francisco Art Institute ca 1978. She founded punk bands Pink Section and The Inflatable Boy Clams. She now has her own studio/gallery, Studio Judy G, in Watsonville, California, where shows her own work as well as the works of others. Mike Henderson is a graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute, MFA 1970. He went on to become a professor at UC Davis. He also is a blues guitar player with his own band. He is represented at the Haines Gallery in San Francisco.

Dave Getz is a graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute, class of 1964. He is a visual artist and musician most well known being the drummer with Big Brother and the Holding Comoany.

Lawrence White graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1975, MFA, Film. He then went on to work for years at Rolling Stone magazine, the Corbis Agency, Kelton B&W labs and Saratoga Living magazine. His work is included in the Smithsonian Archives of American Art and he has recieved many awards and has been included in many publications.

Jeanne Hansen is a photographer who graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1982. Through her photographic lens she documented the alternative art, music and political scene in San Francisco during the Reagan era and punk rock hay day of the 1980s.
