December 4 2013 Joshua Kennedy The Rescues  Life lesson from Moses

Sunday December 1st Job 1:1-22 Two men saw an older churchgoing woman walking down the street. One of the men pointed to her and said to his friend, “I’ll bet you can’t mention anybody to old Miss Thompson without her finding something good to say about him.” The other fellow said, “I’ll take that bet.” “Excuse me, Miss Thompson” he said, “Do you mind telling us; what do you think of the devil?” M...

Sunday November 11th 2nd Peter 3:11-18 I heard a story about a pastor who visited an elderly man. No matter where I am - in the living room, upstairs, in the kitchen, or down in the basement - I ask myself ‘What did I come in here after?’” In the final...

Sunday October 13th 10/13/2013 0 Comments   Sunday October 13th 2nd Peter 1:12-21 We’ve seen how many times Paul and Peter have used the word “therefore” in their letters to remind the people they are writing to that the marvelous blessings God has poured out on us should trigger some sort of response, some sort of change, on our part. Here in Chapter 1 of 2nd Peter, he actually uses the word to e...

Sunday October 6th 10/06/2013 0 Comments   Sunday October 6th 2 Peter 1:1-11 As we begin our study of Peter’s second letter, we will see in verse 1 that Peter again identifies both who he is and who he is writing to. “ Simon Peter , a bond-servant and apostle of  Jesus Christ , To those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ:” B...
