Line of Sight

This week we talk 1989s Steel Magnolias. Our little way of saying thank you to the woman who is in a class all her own, Mrs Dolly Parton.

Finishing off Subtember 2026 we go to our most obscure, with the 1999 made-for-TV Movie The Hunley , about the first combat submarine to ever sink a warship. You know who's in The Hunley ? Armand Assante. You know who's on Santa's Nice List? Armand Assante. Coincidence?

A hidden gem in the submarine world? Maybe perhaps probably not.

Bienvenue à portée de vue. For the second week of Subtember we go french with Le Chant du Loup, or in the English tongue "The Wolf's Call" from 2019, our most modern sub movie to date.

SUBTEMBER is upon us again and we start it off with 2013 Phantom starring Ed Harris, David Duchovny, Lance Henriksen and William Fichtner. The who's who of people that have been in other amazing to pretty good movies. Down Bubble

This legend has been so lost that it became a secret, baby. We revisit this gem from Nathan's childhood, just as dinosaurs return to theatres in a non-Jurassic movie, The End of Oak Street. This really has nothing to do with it, except dinosaurs.

HULK (2003) Directed by Ang Lee, starring Erica Bana and Jennifer Connelly.

These movies are so old these mutant turtles aren't even teenagers anymore. Feel old yet?

This week Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, Starring Matt Damon Anne Hathaway Tom Holland Robert Pattison and Zendaya

In preparation for Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey we revisit the early aught "prequel" starring Brad Pitt, Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom, Brian Cox, Diane Krueger, and so many others. Nathan watched the theatrical cut while Adam watched the Director's cut. Listen to find out which one is better, but frankly they both might still be better than The Odyssey.

Another of Nathan's top 10 discussed.

Now that we've seen Disclosure Day (and every other Spielberg film) we can finally do our much anticipated tier ranking of all the Steven-directed films. "Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner."

We watched the third one

We go "to the stars" with one of the greatest scores in one of the not-so-greatest movies. Not enough people talk about DragonHeart these days, or is it that it gets talked about exactly how much it deserves to be? RIP Sean Connery.

Drip drip drop, let's talk some BAMBI!!!

We had to. It's episode 300! It's also our 300 episode, where we talk about the Zack Snyder adaptation of the Frank Miller graphic novel of the same name. Prepare for glory!

Empire Strike Back, Godfather Part 2, Aliens, and The Secret of the Ooze usually considered the greatest sequels of all time. We fully embrace Ninja Rap and talk more TMNT Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

We celebrate Easter, once again, with our friend Charlton Heston. This time not just with a movie about Passover, but of the actual crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It's also a precursor to our favourite topic of discussion - The Phantom Menace , as well as an excuse to drop some music from Disney's Robin Hood . Something for everyone.

We talk the current hit Project Hail Mary, starring Ryan Gosling.

Fake Adam returns to talk about another one of his favourite movies, Joe Dante's "The 'Burbs" starring Tom Hanks, not to be confused with the 2026 TV show "The 'Burbs" not starring Tom Hanks.

Just in time we count down our top 100 movies for the year 2000-2024. Intro - 0:00-24:00 Our Lists - 25:00
